How long until I'm a new customer?

Hi all,
I've been slow stoozing for a while and working my way through most 0% deals. When the 0% deals come to an end I normally close the accounts.
How long should I wait before applying to the same credit card company again as a 'new customer'?
I'm on my second accounts with Tesco and Halifax, but left about a 12 month gap before applying the second time.
Would 3 or 6 months be long enough?
Thanks.
