Civil service pension - low amount to transfer

Due to the recruitment ban my contract was not renewed by the Civil Service. I now have 2 options with my Nuvos pension, I can transfer it (but I am told by an independant financial advisor and bank that most people will not transfer it as it is too costly for just £2,500) or have my conts back (only £383).

I was only there 16 months. Does anyone know of anywhere that would transfer this? I think it is silly that you can't even out the money into an account to gain interest.

I have heard bad things about nfu....I cannot get any decent info on their site....maybe i can call without giving name or address

I can't really help with the pension, but just wanted to say sorry to hear about your contract not being renewed because of the recruitment ban.

More government intitatives resulting in people losing their jobs. :mad:
