Packaged Bank Account - possible to reclaim?
Hi all, I'm looking for some advice on behalf of my mother, and would be grateful if anyone can offer any advice. My parents were sold a packaged bank account sometime before 1999. They requested an overdraft and were told they could only get one with this paid for packaged account. We've just seen through the MSE guide…

Barclays decline first attempt
Hello After reading Martin's bank charges reclaiming guide, I wrote to Barclays (using the MSE template) yesterday, under financial hardship guidelines (which I am well and truly in - and have been for several years). My claim was for just under £4,000 of charges over the last 6 years, covering returned DD's and guaranteed…

Natwest Creditguard or PPI
Hi can someone please help? I claimed back in 2012 that I was unsold my Creditguard (PPI) for my Natwest Creditcard. I originally made the claim that it was sold on the telephone and this claim was rejected and I thought nothing more of it. While moving house recently I found NatWest's initial response and after reading it…

FOS says no?
Hi to all. 2 years ago I wrote here about Yorkshire Bank saying I'd had no PPI on 12 loans over a 30ish years period. I had however had PPI on their Credit card. I rang the FOS. He just said that was it, if they said no, it's no... as they wouldn't lie? Today, been reading on the site and, contrary to advice given on here,…

£21 overdraft £436 charge
Any advice welcome, had letter from dca demanding £457 for an Santander overdraft. It was an old unused account registered to previous address so unaware of £21 overdraft which must have built up fees over a year or so. I Don't have any statements though. Dca say they will accept £366 as partial settlement but want to…

Natwest said no...now what?
So I/We followed the MSE process to try & reclaim charges/freeze interest/charges on my partners current account (avg. £60 pm from arranged & unarranged od) but they flat out refused. My query is, if my partner opens an account at a new bank and has his wages paid into that instead, can we simply offer Natwest a token…

Hi there. I'm new to MSE Forums and pretty sure the answer to my question is lurking somewhere but I can't find it. I may have had PPI up until about 2004 when I sold my house, but no longer have any paperwork and can't remember who my mortgage was with because I used a broker who I can no longer trace. Harvey Nichols PPI via CPP
My wife was sold PPI by Harvey Nichols in 1998 and was paying it for years. She was advised in store to tick a box, and said the PPI was supplied by CPP. She was a student at the time and her parents paid her fees and living, so PPI was useless. I'm trying to track down who is responsible and how I can claim against them?…
