Hi, I want to book train tickets for a trip to London in March and book in advanced while the prices are reasonable. LNER are only offering Advanced Singles for outwards and returns. If there is a train strike on one of the days then I wont travel at all. As I'm being sold 2 singles I'm worried that I wont be eligible for…

How to change default payment card for Oyster card
OH's Oyster card wouldn't work this morning so I've been tasked with working out why. Turns out it was trying to debit to a card that is no longer active. I've gone in and sorted out the issue and paid for a chunk of credit, but it gave the message at the end of the transaction that future transactions will be debited to…

London Zone Boundary rail fares--how to buy
Depending on tickets you may already have, for some rail trips into/out of London the lowest cost option is to buy a "boundary" fare aka an extension fare. (prompted by a discussion in the forums in the excellent oysterfares.com website, formerly known as oyster-rail.org.uk) A Boundary fare is where you buy a ticket that…

Can I take tfl to Small Claims Court?
Hello there, I recently moved in an area which is only served by the overground. The issue is, due to strikes, the so called "snow", their famous "planned engineering works" and whatever excuse they come up with, I have been able to take the overground only two or three times. This has resulted in me not being able to go…

Having recently been left stranded when my last train was cancelled, I'm wondering what my rights are... I had to check into a hotel and catch the first train the next morning.
