I'm looking to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in August at the Ambassadors Theatre.  I am looking to stay overnight.  I'll be going during the week, and staying overnight.  Now the show should be finishing at around 16:00.   The hotel I've earmarked is Hub by Premier Inn, in West Brompton.  How busy would the Picadilly Line be around 16:00 on a Tuesday say?

Many thanks for your help.

It's the cusp between the rush hour and the end of the school run. Medium busy then...but what's  the reference to a bus?

Where are you thinking of eating that night? How about visiting somewhere else after your theatre visit?

I meant to put underground, but I must have had a brain fart moment.  I've changed the title now.  I don't mind a little busy, just not absolutely rammed.
I'd probably look at getting something to eat near the hotel in West Brompton tbh.

It's now booked for August, so the school run shouldn't be a problem.

It will just be rammed with tourists instead. You will just have to live with it as the buses will also be busy and run at a snails pace.

The tube is always busy, even on Sundays. It’s just worse when the commuters join the tourists. TfL count 4pm as peak. The difference between peak and non peak, is that at least during non peak you have a sporting chance of getting some personal space.  Either you run to Leicester Square station in hopes that the commuter rush is just starting to build up or you have a drink and a leisurely meal near the theatre and aim for a tube at 7.
