Can I sell Nottingham to London Megabus eticket today?
I have this ticket for today which is on an email but doesn't include a barcode like National Express ones do. So, am I actually allowed to advertise it and would it just be a case of forwarding the email to the buyer?

TFL - Cheapest route options to new work location
My nearest tube stations are Turnpike Lane & Wood Green area (zone 3). My nearest overgrounds are White Hart Lane and Northumberland Park (zone 3) I've got a new job in Victoria (zone 1). I will need to use a mixture of bus and the underground (tube) I do not want to commit to an annual pass so a monthly travelcard would…

Asked to see train ticket but had only been to the Platform not on a train.
This happened to me a while back but have thought about it recently. Where I live is a busy main station to other areas of the country but it doesn't have ticket barriers. Last year I accompanied my student daughter to the platform as she was returning to her digs in Edinburgh and I helped her with bags, then waved her…

can i claim for taxi fare when bus was cancelled ?
National Express cancelled our bus journey to Heathrow on day of journey, they didn't inform us, we only found out when checking departure app. There was a 45 minute wait on their phone helpline, which we didnt have time to do, so we had to get a taxi. Can we claim the cost of this fare from National Express?

Have train ticket prices gone up early?
The train timetables changed yesterday, 10 Dec 2023, and I just noticed that the price for my off-peak tickets into London has just jumped by a pound on South Western Railway (and I now have to get one train later in order to get the off-peak price). I thought ticket prices were supposed to go up in January. Have SWR…

Advice please. Railcard / TFL
Hello. I'm planning to travel to London in a couple of weeks for the weekend. I have a Senior Railcard. Probably make about 6 separate journeys overland and subway over the weekend. Can I use the Railcard too (get about 33% discount here in Scotland) and if so how do I get the tickets as last time I was there everyone just…

Train Strike and Delay Repay
I bought a ticket a few weeks ago to travel from Liverpool to Lancaster, and chose a route which included a Northern train from Ormskirk to Preston. Unfortunately, due to the strikes, that particular train was not running. I decided to catch a bus for that part of the journey (with one of the wonderful £2 fairs for a…

West Midlands Penalty Fine
Writing on behalf of someone else: My husband and I got a train from London to Luton a few days ago. We are both new to this country, arriving as students a few weeks ago. We had valid Oyster cards, but apparently these are not valid for the journey we made. Three conductors gathered around us and pestered us for our…

Money Moral Dilemma: I'm a rail worker – should I report my friend for dodging fares?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... I've recently learned one of my friends has been deliberately evading train fares for some time by 'short faring' - buying tickets for only part of the journeys he makes. Should I report him to the train firm concerned, which could lead to him being issued a penalty fare…

Trip.com Railcard sale - do all tickets have to be booked via the app?
The T&C's for this offer say that "to active the railcards, you need to book a train ticket on Trip.com under the same account". Does anyone know whether this is a one-off and you can use the Railcard normally (without using the app to buy tickets) thereafter? I've already bought advance tickets with the intention of…

Transpennine Express Refusing To Deal with My Complaint Unless I Install WhatsApp?

Hundreds of people milling around. Transpennine Express train I was booked on wasn't happening. Finally got to Leeds via a standard class Northern train…

How many flat tyres do you get?
I cycle 3-4 miles to work, 2-3 days a week. That's it. Since April, I have had at least 5 flat tyres, between my back and front wheels. I've had 3 in the last 2 months. I've just had 2 flat tyres 3 days apart. One of them was on the way to get my bike serviced, and I asked them to sort out why I was getting flat tyres.…

Get existing bike fixed or buy a new one
I currently have a Boardman hybrid bike that I've not used for ages. The bike seems to be in reasonable condition but don't know what work it needs to have done for it to be road worthy. I have existing locks & clothing. Would you advise I get my existing bike serviced & fixed or trade it in & get a new bike? I'd be using…

Can any permitted route be used for an alternate train journey?
My husbands work course is cancelled but he has the train tickets which won’t be cancelled. He’s off fri/sat and is thinking he could use the tickets for a different destination as they say any route permitted, but I’m not convinced. His tickets are for Macclesfield- Loughborough anytime return, any route permitted. He’s…

Delay replay - Hull trains refusing to pay out
I was delayed 2h5m on a 4h25m journey. When I got my destination station, which was unmanned at 11pm, I put my ticket into the barrier to exit and it swallowed it. I submitted a claim and have provided card statements and pictures of reservation tickets but because I don’t have my actual paper ticket due to the above and…

Recommend me a Hybrid Bike
I've not owned a bike since I was a teenager so looking for any advice on purchasing a hybrid. Initially I'll just be going for casual rides with my young son who's just got his first pedal bike, but intend to use the bike more longer term, possibly even for commuting to work, so I'm happy to spend a bit of money. Terrain…
