Trip.com - two together railcard
Last year, I bought an online two together railcard using Tesco Clubcard. Both of us had the railcard app on our phones, was provided with a code and the railcard was visible on both phones on the Railcard app. This year I was tempted by the trip.com £12 offer, I was lucky enough to get one of the 50 offered yesterday.…

Best ways to minimise punctures on bike
I've got a fairly old Boardman Hybrid (Comp Performance Series). I've not ridden for a few years & noticed the original Continental tyres supplied on the bike (Ultra Race) 700x28 punctured a lot. I was only travelling on main roads so not off road at all. I was recommended Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres which are now fitted…

London Underground, Disabled Railcard and Foreign Visitor
I'm seeking some advice as I have a visitor from Australia with me towards the end of June and am doing my best to plan things. I have a digital Disabled Person's Railcard and wondered what the best course of action was with tickets on the London Underground. I have searched and the threads I found were from 2010 and 2012,…

Network Railcard annual savings
I've had a Network Railcard for almost a year now and it's coming up for renewal. Quick question - is there an easy way to see how many times I've used it and how much I've saved? FYI I am not a regular train user but do try to use them when possible.

Network Rail Card Question
Morning! First time Network Rail Card buyer so this may be a silly question... is there a best site to buy it through and is there anyway to get a discount when buying the card? I'm looking to mostly use it to travel on my own into London off-peak, but also on weekends with family. Thanks!

Lighter and not expensive e-bike suggestions
I would like to buy a hybrid/commuter e-bike (step-thru would be a good option) that is relatively light (under 20kg including battery, closer to 15kg better) and not inordinately expensive (preferably under £2K). It doesn't need to have huge range or lots of gears, any suggestions for suitable bikes would be welcome.

Is there (such a thing as) a high security bike cover (for bikes on my vehicle Towbar bike rack)?
Hi all I currently have a van with an expensive Tow bar which holds 2 expensive Ebikes. I'd like to cover this towbar/bikes with a bike cover that will not only keep the bikes dry etc but also keep the bikes hidden from view to stop opportunists. I realise that any cover must probably be made out of some form of material,…

Northern Delay Repay website - password field not encrypted?
I've made several claims and was about to make another one for a cancelled train when I realised that, when I type into the password field, it is not encrypted: Has it always been this like? It's a secure connection (verified by Amazon apparently) and looks like the legit website but all other websites I've used that…

Rail fare rises March 2024
According to the news rail fares will rise by “up to 4.9%”. My monthly season ticket with London Northwestern Railway will rise from £636.30 to £677.50. I calculate that at more than a 6% increase. Who do I complain to? Any ideas? How is this allowed if the fare increases are capped at 4.9%?

Booking Advance Train Tickets
We are planning a trip in late June, so I have started to check prices on a couple of rail operators’ apps, including LNER as they operate services over the longest section of our route. I'm still being offered Anytime tickets, except when I use the Trainline app. There, the outbound tickets are shown as discounted and…
