Delay repay - off peak ticket

Hi guys
I had an off peak return from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street. I could go any route permitted. I reserved a seat on the 11:43, which was on time, but since I had an off peak return for that day, I ended up getting the 12:43, which was over 20 minutes late.
I have put in a claim for delay repay, since the train I was on was late, however I'm wondering if I would be eligible since I reserved a seat on the earlier on time train, but my ticket was a flexible off peak return?

Your reservation makes no difference at all: you travelled on a train that was delayed.
For most companies, however, you only get compensation if the delay was at least 30 minutes. (I recently lost out when I submitted a claim for a journey on Cross Country: the delay was 29 minutes and so I got nothing, and my time claiming was wasted.)

All (I think) companies give delay repay for 15 minutes delay. You claim for the train you say you caught, no need to even send them the reservation section of the ticket.0

Cross Country recently refused to give me anything for a 29 minute delay.

Avanti who run London to Liverpool will pay out for 15 minute delays, but as Voyager says different companies have different rules. Eurostar is particularly mean with their delay repayNothing until it has been delayed for over an hour and cash refunds are less than vouchers which they prefer to offer.
