IKEA - can't contact them
I ordered some items last week for click and collect from Ikea Wembley. I was sent a collect date of Sunday (8th), but it also says I will get notification when the items are picked and ready to collect. That didn't arrive and the order is still shown as "Picking Order" so I thought I'd call or webchat. The only number I…

Strange new phone scam version
Thought I'd heard all the scam phone calls over the years, but this one was so different and so obviously a scam that I wish I'd stayed on the line longer to hear what came next. Phone number 01702428150 rang - I answered - silence - about to hang up when recorded, well spoken voice asked me to hold on as I had to answer…

Travelodge - great service
Booked 2 saver rooms for tomorrow night at a Travelodge, where at the time we were both on the same Tier and allowed to travel to. Fast forward a few weeks and the Travelodge location moved up a level and laws came in to stop us travelling into higher tiers unless essential. Presumed would lose the money but e mailed and…

0161 numbers
Is it ever OK to answer calls from an 0161 number? Every week I get multiple calls which I usually ignore but occasionally answer, if I am distracted, doing something else. Much of the time the line is dead but other times there is some low life parasite at the other end desperately trying to con me into purchasing their…

DPD - not a complaint but a question.
Hi All, not sure if anyone knows the answer to this. 🤔 Do DPD drivers get a signature or ask the name of the person they are delivering to as well as taking a picture or do they just put the name of the person the parcel is addressed to? Background - I ordered a Tiny Treat Tree for my friend from Bloom & Wild. It was out…

John Lewis has gone off and so has it's Price Match - don't go there!
Beware shopping at John Lewis. They are no longer the honest, good service company you may remember from years ago. They are now a bottom-line cut-throat store who are all smiles but don't really care about their customers. I have a few examples but most recently yesterday tried to use their price match promise to purchase…

Amazon return
Sorry if I am in the wrong place? My O.H sent for a mattress topper from Amazon, we have only ought a few things from them in the past. His sight is not good and he managed to press the wrong button so we got a super king size instead of a double. I did manage to sort out the return and took it to my local shop for a…

Just wasted 40 minutes on Sainsbury’s customer service line trying to get double points to use online. Left on hold 4 times while info was sought and then…

I was about to vent about topcashback but....
I was just about at the end of my tether with a cashback claim on topcashback. I bought a camera lens last November (1 year!) from a subsidiary of Jessops called Camera Jungle, that at the time offered a 10 percent cash back. It tracked, and quickly moved to 'confirmed' which it's sat at ever since. I wrote to them at the…
