O2 Priority Theatre Tokens
I logged on to O2 priority at exactly 10 am this morning and was pleased to get a code for the halfprice theatre token offer. The code was valid for 6 days and 13 hours, so I went to the website at 11.00, after finishing another task, put the code in and was greeted with the error message ‘Sorry this code is no longer…

Balsam Hill Christmas trees
Apropos my post about UK consumer protection legislation requiring identity information about the trader, I've been corresponding with the Irish company that trades via www.balsamhill.co.uk. They do have a UK VAT registration - GB213794603 - but despite their claims to also have a UK-registered company in Belfast, their…

Which Magazine - Fair?
Just read this - the open letter is certainly something worth reading. https://www.ebac.com/wm-which/ While you can't believe everything you read, I'm more inclined to believe the company on this occurance as I can see Which only looking at certain criteria. Not a good look for Which and calls into question a large amount…

Vent re: Daily Chemist, Bracknell - they took my payment and did not refund when item out of stock.
Hi, I ordered some items from this chemist's website on 25 October 2021 and they took my credit card payment the same day, £18.85. Next day they sent me an email advising my order had been despatched and I should receive it within a few days. A few hours later on the same day, I received an email to say that the product…

Sky complaints email
Is anyone able to confirm the latest Sky email address format for complaints? I'd usually be able to find it on the FCA register but they aren't showing one. From that i'd then look on linkedin to find their senior execs and combine the names and email formats....... I.e. is it @sky.com @bskyb etc etc etc (These aren't…

Quidco cash back site .
I use this site nearly every time I make an online purchase and have received cashback on goods with no problem . The only retailer that have rejected my claims is Virgin Experiences. Post Office & Royal Mail - outdated, incompetent and cutting corners
Not often I post here - but here we go! I use Royal Mail for sending small items, receiving goods and also at work for dispatch of between 20 and 50 items a day - and it seems lately they're just cutting corners and costs to the extreme. From the perspective of a business, there's so many old processes that could be…

Faulty Tesco replacement LED bulbs
In Oct 2019 I decided it was time to upgrade my domestic 230V AC tungsten bulbs to more energy efficient LED bulbs. When I visited my local Tesco, I bought five LED bulbs. I made sure two of them were 'dimmable' since I have a pair of lamps plus a dimmer switch in my lounge. The packaging stated a life expectancy of 15…

Sports direct buyer beware
I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s having problems with these companies I’ve put items in my basket and if the item isn’t available it will put another size or colour in but you don’t see the change at checkout instead you find out when you are sent an email of your order. This has happened a few times now and when I’ve…

Tesco shelf labels. Make sure you have your glasses on.
Nearly got caught out by this Tesco label. Chorizo £2.50, the Any 2 for £2 refers to Cheeses, I had to photograph the text and blow it up to be sure as I didn't have glasses with me. OK so it looks like a too good to be true offer, but if it had been, say, 2 for £3 or £4 I would not have checked and would have ended up…

De Walt disappointment
I bought a De Walt drill set from Screwfix on the 27th November as a Christmas present for my wife to give me. I opened it today but when I tried to register for the 3 year extended warranty I couldn’t as this had to be done within 4 weeks of purchase. I wrote to explain this and got a fairly snotty reply from De Walt…
