Bought by Many Pet Insurance

Fair play, Bought by Many are very good, their price for the year for insuring my dog was very competitive & they have a £99 yearly excess (not per claim).

Made a claim yesterday afternoon following a trip to the vets for my hound & the money was in my bank account by 8:30 this morning.

Good to hear. Switched to them a coupe of years ago, but luckily haven't had to claim yet.

Currently they are taking 6-8 weeks to review claims, which is a long time if you had to pay the vet up front as many insist you do. And they have no mechanism for finding out if treatment will be covered beforehand - you have to cross your fingers and hopeyou understood the policy.

It is quite normal for companies not to agree to cover treatment beforehand. they can only review the claim once all details of the condition and treatment are given.

Very few will confirm cover beforehand.

Many Pets paid my vet directly when my cat needed treatment, Xrays, and finally euthanasia and cremation earlier this year. I had already paid for an initial consultation before making the claim, so that counted as the excess.

I've found ManyPets excellent. Its definitely worth checking whether your vet will accept direct payment before you pay upfront. They may not offer this unprompted!

Had to claim a couple of weeks ago & I paid my vet on the Saturday, claimed 10am on the Monday & they paid out by 3pm on the same day.

They could have been contacting your vet about the claim.
