Calling over WiFi restrictions with network providers
Basically I bought a new phone directly from Motorola, a G60s one of their recent models for about £180, I have a monthly sim only deal with Virgin that uses the (Vodaphone) network, recently reception has not been great inside the house so I was keen to get a phone with the ability to use WiFi calling - if no signal it…

Virgin mobile deal - can sign up
Trying to get a sim for my daughter and opted for the virgin £3.50 for 3 months then £7 a month deal but it won't let me do it. Every time it gets so far thru the process then bombs out and goes to a something went wrong try again later screen. When I try to go back in to the order it says the order is cancelled. Has…

What SIM should my sister get when she visits from Canada in May?
She just messaged me saying she's considering getting an Orange travel eSIM but it has a french number. Will that cost her or my family and her friends anything to message and text?

Onecom
I feel I've been mislead by Onecom from the start. 17 months ago I agreed to take out a phone contract with them on the understanding that they would reduce my existing mobile phone bill - the opposite happened. It went from £17 a month to £30 per month for a SIM only deal. It's a 3 year contract and at month 17 that I'm…

New SIM only deal - worth starting now or wait until April?
I am in the process of changing/upgrading my phone and I've chosen to invest in a SIM only deal. Is it better to set it up now before the 17%+ price hikes in April or should I wait until after the price hike to see where the best deals are?

Need guidance in choosing a Pay Monthly (Sim Only) contract
Hi all, I have been happily using Pay as You Go on the Three (3) network for over 10 years now without issue. For the last few years I have been getting their 'All You Can Eat 90' Add On every three months, where I pay £90 for Unlimited Data, Unlimited Texts and Unlimited minutes. This has always served me very well and I…

USwitch
I’m with 02. Been out of contract for about a few years now so just on rolling monthly plan. Had the emails stating prices going up. Deal on Uswitch looks good with 02 but wondering whether I would be allowed to switch from a rolling plan to another plan via Uswitch as both on 02? Also if a monthly contract I presume they…

Central Asia & Mongolia sim card - what does this mean?
I have just received a brand new Samsung Galaxy A6 phone. It has 'CENTRAL ASIA & MONGOLIA SIM CARD ONLY' written on the box. I am in the UK so what does this mean? My previous phone had 'European sim card only' written on the box. Why doesn't it say the same? I am scared to open it unless I know that I can use it in the UK

Could I get existing number ported over before activating sim?
Can you have your existing mobile number ported over to a new provider before activating the sim? I purchased a new sim contract with Lebara which may not arrive until Friday. Yet my current contract ends Friday and I’d rather not have to wait and use the new providers number for a few days untill my numbers ported.

PAC code from Lyca, is the system down?
Signed up for the MSE Lyca 1p a month deal. Although the Lyca website's PAC form isn't the simplest to fill in to port your number over to them, it seems to have worked. I ordered a second SIM to use as a "temporary SIM" to move my number back to a new deal on my existing network. How long does a PAC code (to port out)…

Has Anyone Èlse Experienced, On A Moto E7 Being Unable To Turn Off The Lift To Wake, in Settings?
On a friend's E7 Moto mobile the "lift to wake" cannot be turned off in Settings. The local O2 mobile shop Guru said that this may be due to an update that has gone wrong and may be corrected in a future update. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Thank you for all replies.

MSE guide discussion - Piggybacking - need to keep your signal? You can still switch network
Hi all, Just starting a new thread as we've recently optimized our Piggybacking guide. Piggerbackers have come a long way, with some now offering 5G, Wi-Fi calling, visual voicemail and '4G calling' (VoLTE). Do you use any of these extra features? Also, what's your experiences switching Sims? Do you find it easy to do?…

Switching number to Smarty Error
Judging purely from the Automated e-mails from Smarty (their system), does it look like the PAC transfer did NOT go through. Thus I can simply either try again tomorrow, or just switch my number to another network? (See below for full details) I haven't had any trouble in the past switching a number over to Smarty, or…

Genuine warning for anyone moving to Lebara (UK): tethering issue
Hi folks, I know there have been a few warning threads that have been more personal experience/dislike than a genuine issue that could affect everyone. This one shocked me & I would have doubted it if I had not seen it myself. Just a little background, I have worked in an IT support role & bought my own first mobile in…

When can I take a new contract out an avoid the annual increase being applied this year?
Someone I know took a new contract out 5 or so weeks ago and has obviously been immediately hit with a huge increase because of the annual hike. I want to know when is the soonest I can take a new contract out to not have this increase applied straight away this year? I've managed with my trusty iPhone on sim deals since…

Lock in Free Roaming in Europe?
I'm tempted to switch to O2 to get free roaming in Europe. But what if O2 decides to discontinue free roaming a month or two later? Would a contract protect me? Specifically, can anyone confirm that a pay monthly contract with O2 will commit them to provide you free roaming in Europe (as per the current offer) for the…

EE price increases
I have received an email from EE saying my bill will increase by 12.6% at the end of this month (March 23) . They say they are now using the Consumer Price Index published in January plus 3.9% . The 3.9% is for their investment programme apparently . My contract runs out in October this year - apart from leaving EE after…
