Lycamobile no port-in after a month - options?
Hi everyone,
I requested a transfer of my number from Giffgaff to a Lyca eSim on September 29, on October 1 my number was no longer working on my Giffgaff SIM and I was told the number would be active on the Lyca side by the end of the day.
Now, that never happened, and since then I have been trying to get a solution out of them relentlessly every day to no avail. I have tried emailing their customer service and complaints department but I am now being ignored. Whenever I call their customer service helpline I always get told the issue will be resolved within 24hrs but that never happens.
I have also tried requesting a letter of deadlock and compensation but got no response.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? I am worried my number was lost.
Thanks,
Michael

Lyca are the worst! I ordered a SIM on 29th September and they never sent it and trying to get a refund is impossible. I am taking it to the ombudsman once 8 weeks has passed from date of complaint. They don't even follow their published complaints procedure.
Unfortunately I don't think you can do anything apart from leave them immediately so you don't have to deal with them and unfortunately wait for the ombudsman to resolve it for you. Here's the link for when they time comes. I hope they get closed down tbh. A company this bad shouldn't be allowed to operate.

Lyca really has the worst customer service. I've just had a Lyca related split port resolved after 26 days!
One thing you can do is fill in a monitoring form on the Ofcom website. The more people who do this, the sooner Ofcom will force Lyca to sort themselves out or preferably shut them down .1 -
Thanks, everyone.
I'll be contacting CISAS as soon as possible.
In the meantime I've sent a complaint to Ofcom - hopefully that will do something.1
