Sim only deals
Is anyone with 1p mobile sim only. Im looking at the bundles of data unlimited calls and txts which is £7.50. But they want £10 every month which will be taken automatically. I don't understand how that works when the bundle is only £7.50.so where does the other £2.50 go. I'm confused how the agent has explained it to me 🤔

My understanding is that the £7.50 is deducted from your credit balance each month. As the minimum payment they will process is £10 they may be suggesting you automatically top up by that amount every month so that you don't run the risk of not having enough credit to pay for your boost. One possible explanation is that you need to make a £10 topup every 120 days or you will be disconnected.
Unless the offer is particularly special or you need something they are offering I would suggest you look elsewhere.0 -
Just set the bundle to auto renew each month and set auto topup so they top your balance up by £10 when it gets to £2.
It'll work out ok. 1pMobile are very good but this is the one area where they're a little unclear but it'll be fine I feel sure.

E.g
1st month topup £10 deduct £7.50 bal £2.50
2nd month open £2.50 topup £10 deduct £7.50 balance £5
3rd month open £5 topup £10 deduct £7.50 balance £7.50
4th month open £7.50 deduct £7.50 autotopup £10
5th month open £10 deduct £7,50 balance £2.50
6th month as 2nd month etc0 -
It would probably be simpler just to topup £30 every four months (until they put the bundle price up)0

savergrant said:However if op tops up the initial £10 then purchases a £7.50 bundle they will then have £2.50 credit left. That won't trigger the autotopup but also won't be enough for the boost to autorenew. So they will need to manually topup most months.
For your convenience you can add a one-off Boost, or you can add a recurring Boost. With a recurring Boost we will add the selected Boost to your SIM/account every 30 days. If you have insufficient credit, we will automatically top-up your phone from your stored payment details.

OK, so that is different to the £2 trigger. I would imagine that would mean they will take £10 per month for three months then every fourth month you would have enough credit without topping up.0

OK, so it sounds like they will take a £10 topup if you don't have enough balance to cover your boost cost. So you will be charged £10 per month for three months then not pay the next month. Not great if your monthly budgeting is tight.
How much roaming do you need? Do you mean eu or outside europe? From memory I think lebara allow partial usage of your allowance, and nowmobile/rwg do if your bundle is £5+
