Bought concert tickets on credit card. Can’t go. Any way to reclaim
As a huge treat I bought myself vip tickets to a concert. The night before we are informed my father in law is end of life and so can’t go. With tickets, travel and accommodation it’s just over 1k. I don’t suppose there is any way I’ll get anything back? Just thought I’d ask, in case.

Damages Garage Door (neighbours)
Hi all. Hoping this is the correct forum. Recently I accidentally reversed into my neighbour’s garage (my fault) and the tow bar bent the bottom of the door in the corner. I said I would pay for repair. It looks like easy repair as the bit that was damaged is not on the rails and should just need to be straightened back…

Home insurance problems as close to river
We are having awful problems getting home insurance and I could use some advice. Our renewal quote is £1500 this year, which seems huge! We are 40m away from a river and part of the same postcode is built right on the riverbank and on a flood plain. There was a flood 25 years ago, before all the houses and river defences…

Landlord building and contents insurance
Hi, I’m a bit puzzled with the renewal of my landlord building and content insurance. I’m due to renewal soon, so I approached aviva to pay my insurance in full as I would be saving around 43 pounds of interest but I was told if I wanted to pay in full, I would need to cancel my policy which I’ve had for about 10yrs and…

Home insurance miracle - current provider is the cheapest quote without haggling
My house insurance is up for renewal - my current provider has sent me a quote which is about 23% more than last year. However going on comparison sites, the cheapest I can seem to get is more like 40% more than last year (using the same criteria as before as it's the same comparison site). I guess I'll just let it renew…

Car insurance - moving house
Hi all I am moving house at the same time as needing to renew my car insurance. I am moving 10 minutes down the road, to a similar, if anything nicer area. Neighbour's insurer wants our building insurance details just incase.
I live in a freehold house with a leasehold semi-detached neighbour. The leaseholder has just changed their insurer. They are asking for my insurance company and to state if there have been any previous claims. Is that in any way justifiable? Or has anyone had this before? Personally I don't want to provide this info as…
