Hi, my car insurance policy is due for renewal. However I have had a baby. It asks how many children I have under the age of 16, one child increases my policy by £60.00 a year. Do I legally have to declare this fact to the insurers?

You legally have to answer the questions asked.
I don't think all insurers ask that question.0 -
What do you think would happen if your child was injured in an accident and you had lied on the application?0

If you recklessly or intentionally make a false declaration then they can void your policy, keep the premiums and avoid any claim. If you carelessly make a mistake then its more complex but I find it hard to believe that anyone would think you carelessly forgot you have a baby.Ayr_Rage said:What do you think would happen if your child was injured in an accident and you had lied on the application?0
