Insurance to cover if airline cancels flight, refunds me, but not enough to pay for alternative.
I'm looking to book a flight to Buenos Aires for next February with BA, but I see BA are currently cancelling all their flights to this destination. It looks like they are selling these flights to get people's money, and then just cancelling them probably a few weeks before to avoid having to pay compensation. Still, I'm…

WizzAir question
We are flying back to UK from FuerteVentra with WizzAir next week. Done online checkin and ended with a boarding card and we have to go to Wizz Air checkin desk at the airport to validate our documents and get our boarding passes. Does this apply to all WizzAir flights? Maybe a covid documentation 'thing'?

I'm getting a change fee of…

Halifax clarity card in Spain atm
Used my Halifax clarity credit card in a Santander ATM in Spain to withdraw 100euros. Was charged 7euros to do this. Is this always charged or do other banks charge different amounts? Never used the card to with draw cash before, seems a bit steep, I thought this was the MSE preferred option of obtaining euros. T ia

Ryanair Flight Change Fee
Hi all - my first post! (waves) I booked a flight to Dublin back in May 2020. Recently I have had an operation which has lead me being unfit to fly, their policy is 10 days post operation. I asked for a refund to which I was refused, so then I asked to change flights. I was quoted £180 to change the flights, which is more…

I am due to fly with them later this month and have tried to book it this morning and it was still there as a headline but when going into the buy before you fly section it was not there. Gifting Virgin Flying Club points for use on Delta??
Hi, I have a LOT of Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points. A family member is flying over from the States to the UK soon and will return Heathrow-Atlanta in mid December. That's a Delta flight, though I guess it will probably be codeshared with VA. I would like to be able to upgrade her to Upper Class for her return flight as…

International Money Order
Does anybody know where I can purchase an international money order? I need to obtain a copy of my marriage certificate from the New York City Clerk's office and that's the only form of payment they'll accept (unless I know somebody who lives in the US, which I don't).

Ryanairflights gone up: take em or hold longer?
Appreciate this is subject to the vagaries of how Ryanair do their pricing, but any anecdotal advice would be appreciated. I was pricing up flights all last week. Confirming Friday pm. Went on hour after latest check to book and they'd gone up by a fair bit. Left it for the night. On Sunday they went up again. I've not…

Which country has the most attractive bank note?
The International Bank Note Society runs a yearly award for Bank Note of the Year, taking into account 'artistic merit' and 'imaginative design', among other things. Last year's winner was Mexico's 100 Peso bill. This year's nominations include England's £50 note and Scotland's RBS £50 note. Which made me wonder - which…

Overseas car hire booking agent has been declared bankrupt - how do I get my money back?
I booked car hire in February 2020 for a trip to Portugal due to take place in July 2020 through HolidayCars.com, paying by credit card. The UK government travel advice in July was not to travel and both our outbound and inbound flights were subsequently cancelled by the airline. As a result I cancelled our car hire but I…

Money to Cyprus?
I tried to send some money (€375) to someone in Cyprus from my Starling account but they say that CY don't accept their cheaper transfer fee and that I had to pay a fiver for Swift (?) - I declined! I usually use currency fair, who charge £3, and thought Starling may be cheaper ... alas, no! Any other alternatives?

Emirates Skywards miles due to expire - is there anything I can do with them?
Hi... I've got around 12,000 Emirates Skywards miles which expire at the end of this month. It's not enough to get a flight anywhere and unlike some of the other airlines there doesn't seem to be anything tangible I can do with them. Does anyone know of any other ways to spend them or extend them? Or even gift them to…

Extra airline charge
I am flying to the Canary islands with Jet2 soon, having booked yesterday. They have this sneaky new charge they have added. £3.50 each way for guaranteed hand luggage in the cabin, whereas if you don't pay it they may tell you it has to go in the hold. I wouldn't normally entertain this sort of charging but am taking my…
