Fix now?
Hi all I’m currently with Sainsbury’s energy on a cap tracker and I don’t/can’t have a smart meter at present. Advice seems to be lock in. Should I go for the octopus 12 month no fee exit fix which is above current cap but below the October and January potential rises?

Billing issues with BG
I have been with British Gas after my previous supplier stopped existing and haven’t had issues with bills until now. My balance showed healthy credit over £300 in July and then jumped showing a debit of nearly £2500! I contacted them, they looked in to it and explained the issue being transfer from their old billing…

EV tariff confusion
I am currently on BG EV 2 tariff which states cheap rate 00:00 to 05:00 but my usage data within their app is showing I am charging 23:00 to 04:00. I have contacted BG and they have said my hours are changing and will be contacted “remotely” what ever that means. Anybody else having this issue as don’t want to charge on…

Hi, I'm experiencing problems with my energy supplier as my meter stopped working well over a year ago and despite notifying them they did nothing yo fix it and I have been paying estimated bills ever since. I got in touch with the ombudsman who made rhem replace it and resolve the billing. I was told by the ombudsman that…

Change fixed tarriff
I am currently on a 12month fixed tariff until 11 Dec 2024. If I change tariff more than 49 days before the end date there is a £75 exit fee. Am I best to pay the exit fee and sign up to a new tariff now or wait until mid October to change without paying but at risk of higher rates?

Solar Panels and Feed
Evening folks. Moved house a couple of years ago into a house with solar panels fitted. They were installed in around 2015 by previous owner who paid for them outright. We get a decent amount of free electricity in the day time when it's sunny (we don't have a battery to store energy etc) but wondering if someone can point…

Intelligent Octopus Flux
Thinking of switching to this Octopus "Beta" product as we have a Givenergy battery. As I understand with this tarrif you are basically handed over control of your battery to Octopus and trusting it to import/export at the times which yield the best return ? But the rates do seem very attractive - import and export BOTH…

Dimplex Quantum energy supply question
Hi, I have very old overnight storage heaters which I would like to replace with simplex quantum heaters. I'm on octopus intelligent go which I use the 11:30 - 05:30 cheap rate to charge my EV overnight. It makes sense to utilise the cheaper overnight rate to heat my house as well. I have just the one supply mains point.…

I can't change energy supplier
I'm with British Gas, and have been looking to fix elsewhere. Just discovered that when I changed to a smart meter almost two years ago that they didn't update it with the national database, so no one is allowing me to get a quote, let alone switch, because it looks like I'm on a prepayment meter. I had this issue at the…
