ebay reducing free listings for private sellers
From the 1st October the amount of free listings for private sellers is being reduced from 1000 per month to 300 per month. https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822 The main page still links to show the original 1000 that they currently get, there is now a highlighted box that…

Ebay and Fedex import duties
Hi I purchased item on eBay which included VAT and had free shipping from Japan. I chose the option to "pay import duties now" rather than on delivery. I received item but then received a Duty & Tax invoice from Fedex stating i owed Import tax and disbursement fee. Fedex will not accept i paid eBay. What do i do?

Sell or block?
So I have a specialized external computer SSD drive. Retails value is £1,360 My listed price is £869.99 or best offer - listed as used, although its practically as new, boxed etc. The item has been listed and relisted for several months - I've had silly offers (one was £200!) , but am in no rush to sell so am happy to…

Item Not Recevied - Best Course of Action with Tracking Delivered
As title says, what would be best course of action if I have to open an INR but the tracking shows as delivered? I'm asking because of eBay automatically favoring seller due to tracking number. Basically, I ordered three items from a seller. Item A was sent but item B and item C were not. All the items have the same…

Parcel insurance -high value items
I need to send a couple of electrical items to buyers in the UK and wonder if there is a better value insurance arrangement than using the insurance provided by the parcel courier. The items in question are valued at £1500 and £5500. The cost of delivery with one of the more reputable couriers is under £10 per parcel, but…

Independent Postage Insurance - Anyone used it?
Had a clear out of some medium value items, and came t o ship them, the costs that all the couriers want, if I want full cover is obscene (£9 to cover a £190 parcel, suggesting they lose or damage 1 in 20 parcels!!!). Personally, it sounds like a cheap way to make cash, so did some shopping around and found independent…

Ebay purchase
About 8 or 9 months ago I wanted a new stivk hoover as mine wasn't as good as it used to be. I couldn't afford a brand new one so looked on Ebay for the dyson sales. I found one which said it was less than a year or so. I bought it but it was clogged up with plaster dust etc from DIY . Although I complained to the buyer…

Lost eBay Parcel & Yodel what.three.words
Sold a parcel on eBay. Yodel attempted delivery but buyer was not at home. Buyer rescheduled delivery and says he used "what.three.words" in the Yodel app so they would know where to deliver it. He is now saying he hasn't received it, however I have a delivery photo and Yodel have confirmed that the Satellite tracking…

How to contact Ebay when you can't sign in?
I can't get a mobile signal at home and the 2-step verification asks me to enter a code they've sent by text. I've followed all the possible contact links and they ask you to sign in before you can contact anyone which obviously I can't do. I don't want to have to create Facebook or Google accounts just to to get help…

Post Office Issues?
When I have sales on eBay I print off a label (purchased via eBay) as normal. I always select the option to drop off rather than collection, as it's just more convenient for me (I'm only a 2 min walk from the Post Office). I have never had any issues with Tracked24 - I drop it off and in most cases it's delivered the next…

WISE bank - Scam?

Help Etsy refunded buyer even though parcel signed for
I’m trying to pay off some debts and been selling a few things online. I took a gold bracelet to a local jewellers who offered me £250 but did say that l could try to sell it and suggested £350. I’ve sold bits and pieces that I’ve made before on Etsy over the years so tried that. I sold it 3 weeks ago. Posted it to the US…

Anyone got any FVF offers this weekend 20/9/24 >
Doing the usual round up of selling sites it doesn't appear that there's anyone mentioning FVF offers this weekend. Following the usual pattern of every other week this weekend should have seen offers for those who normally get them. Perhaps this is the shift away from private sellers that business sellers have been…

Ebay scammed by buyer
Hello all. I sold a leather recliner and footstool on Ebay collection in person only. The buyer sent a courier to pick it up and took it some hundreds of miles away down the country. Buyer then claimed it was broken and opened a return claim. As the purchase price was only £135 and the cost of getting it back was over £70…

Fake Feedback?
I purchased an item on eBay from a seller that had feedback of almost 500 so thought nothing off it. However on looking more in-depth after buying (yes, I know!), a fair proportion of the posts have the exact same comments and there is no feedback for sales. I messaged him earlier as he said on Sunday it would be sent next…

eBay Sending Out Mass Emails for Private Sellers to Upgrade to Business
One of my private accounts that I used in the past to sell some of my stuff got an email yesterday that I should either upgrade to business or will be hit with sale restrictions. (Whatever that means) I'm not too bothered either way as I have only used it in the past and haven't really sold anything for a while now. But I…

Ebay Private & Business account
Im self employed selling on ebay and amazon with business accounts (not VAT Registered). Ive opened a personal account to sell my childhood toy/books/etc. My question is should i keep under the £1740 and 30 items per year limit where ebay will report to HMRC. While im doing nothing wrong the idea of having my self…

Shiply courier vanished with my items
I purchased 2 Ikea cabinets from eBay and the seller agreed I could source a courier and arrange collection myself. Went on Shiply and found a courier, paid them with the agreement that they would collect on 23rd MArch and deliver within 2-3 days. Collection went fine and was all done to timeframe. Cabinets have still not…

Negative Feedback That Feels Unjust.
As the title really. I sold the parcel shelf from my car to a car repair man. The description had the exact model and make of the car it was from and the measurements of the shelf. I added to the description to make sure it fits other models before buying. He has just left negative feedback saying 'wrongly described '. He…

Offers expire in 4 days now?
Small time private seller here... Just sent out several offers & ebay is showing that they expire in 96 hours & not 48. Not noticed this before - anyone else seeing this? Last offer I received for me to buy something (15th September) was valid for the usual 48 hours. Also no selling fees offer for me this weekend (tried…
