eBay help

I'm going round in circles trying to send a revised invoice for a sale.
I've checked 'help' and it's no use.
It's something I've done may times before but things seem to have changed and I can't see the option to send an invoice anywhere.
I've followed the directions on seller hub and my ebay but there is nothing that allows me to send a revised invoice.

I've had a go with auto help and just going round in circles.

I want to talk to a real person but that option is barred (red circle with diagonal red line).

Help please.
Thanks.

It doesn’t seem possible to send an invoice at all now, lots of posts about it on various forums and lots of people very annoyed by it.

    OK, thanks.
At least it's not me then.

I can't get to talk to a real person through the help function.
It just takes me to the auto help which just regurgitates the same unhelpful rubbish.

If there a customer service number that I can ring?

    Thanks

I suspect eBay are inundated with people phoning or using live chat to ask about or complain about the simple postage announced today . However, to get a phone number you have to be persistent and go through the help system and contact us and use any option to get help, something under the category ‘problems with my account’ is usually good, and keep trying options until you get a phone number.

I guess as a private seller why would you need to do an invoice ? Invoices are surely a business thing ?

Well, sometimes the same person buys more than one item and I want to offer combined postage.
In this instance, I revised the listing to offer free postage but didn't change the listing to 'seller pays' so I want to send a revised invoice without postage cost.

Even as a private seller I can see several reasons for sending an invoice and before the option was blocked it was something I often did.

Firstly as Pollycat says it might be to remove excessive postage, or to combine postage for more then one item, or to offer a promised discount or even to change the postage method if buyer wants something different.

EBay disabled a lot of useful options for private sellers, with a lot more eBay control rather than seller control from the 7th April.

I did try to revise the listing before it ended but it kept asking me for the weight of the parcel and there was nowhere to enter details.
I had no idea that eBay was such a mess now - and I've been a member since 2005.
    Incredibly frustrating.

Just checking in case I missed it, was this a ‘simple postage’ item? If so , then you can’t change anything anyway as eBay will send you a pre paid label . If you opted for buyer pays, then buyer will be charged, if seller pays then the cost of the label is taken from your balance.
