Wilsons auctions 40% + VAT fees!!

I have sometimes bought from Wilsons auction and have got some good items, but if they are auctioning government items they charge 40% plus vat, which is just being very greedy, so is can spoil your day if you get auction fever....

I'm not sure if this might be more suitable in the vent/warnings board, but I'll leave it here for the time being.

40% is a little higher than a lot of real auction houses, I think the most I pay is 30% at the moment. As long as it isn't hidden away and is clear in the T and Cs I can't see it is really an issue- except as a warning to anyone who signs up for things without bothering to read about associated costs- hence my thoughts that this might be better on the warning board.

I don't know them but I know a bit about government contracts. Chances are they won't be earning much on the contract so make the buyers subsidise it.
