Virgin contract renewal offer
Hi there, I'm wondering about other people's experience when coming to the end of their Virgin contract? My Virgin contract is up in April and they have been contacting me with renewal offers. I'm on the Big Bundle- 300gb broadband, TV and weekend landline calls( for in laws) and I pay £35 month for this. They are trying…

How is fibre broadband installed?
I currently have Virgin Media broadband and Sky Q and want to just have one supplier and it works out about £30 a month cheaper if I cancel Virgin Media and have both my TV and internet from Sky. Will my street have to be dug up to install fibre broadband as I don't have a "BT" landline, just Virgin Media cable?

Vodafone - The Nation’s Notwork!
We are with Vodafone Broadband and have been for a number of years. Recently we have had horrendous outages. In the past three weeks we have had no internet at all on three occasions lasting 12 to 17 hours at a time. In between that we have had the signal dropping for seconds or minutes at a time. I have, of course, been…

I can't get broadband but next door can
If this isn't the right place to ask this, then I apologise. My problem is exactly what the tittle said. I'm moving into a new property this
week and OneStream want to charge me £286 early termination fee because they can't supply
broadband to the new address (Not a new build). Neither can BT, EE, Vodafone or anyone else…

4Com - Stealth Pricing
4Com purchased the provider we were with about a 3 weeks after we had agreed a new 6 year contract. Almost immediately they started charging us for their HiHi services, which I fought as we do not have this phone system. After a couple of months of communication the extra fee was eventually credited back. This month…

Avoid Onestream Broadband!!
Just a warning folks, do not sign up with Onestream for your Broadband. I foolishly did. Firstly there's a hidden software licence charge that they will take from you without properly informing you about it, very sneaky. You don't even know it but you've bought anti virus software off them. Until you see your bank…

How can I find plans for Full Fibre
We live in a medium / large town on the Somerset coast. Some parts of the town have full fibre courtesy of Virgin or other providers. Can I find out when my particular postcode will be cabled / enabled. I have looked at the Open reach site but it just states that FFTP is not yet available.

Virgin Media purging my Virgin.net email account although I've never had a Virgin Media account
Has anyone else had a notification from Virgin Media that they are about to purge their @virgin.net email account? I'm only asking as I have had my virgin.net email account for over 20 years, and its my primary email account for contacts, purchases and other account recovery details. I've had this account since before…

Ending BT broadband contract early due to mis-selling
I've used BT as my broadband supplier for many years. In october this year they contacted me asking if I wanted to review my package. I said "yes, it would be great if I could have a static IP address". The salesperson told me I could have a cheaper package and it would have a static IP address. I said great and signed the…

Haggling with BT
I've been with BT for years. They've always been very reliable with good speeds, and I've rarely had issues with the broadband dropping or slow speeds. I renewed with them two years ago and managed to get them to put me on a new customer deal, the Fibre 500 one. I'm due to end my contract with them at the end of November,…

Is it better to jump to full fibre (existing supplier not offering it) or wait until the shove?
Hi My mother's area has recently been cabled for full fibre (Cityfibre and Nexfibre aka Virgin), and we know that migration from FTTC to FTTP is necessary in the next couple of years, however going on MSE's broadband service checker her current supplier (Sky) with 5 mo left of the contract is not currently offering FTTP,…

Stuck with useless Fibrenest internet on Persimmon estate
Does anyone who owns a Persimmon new build know how long it takes for Virgin, BT etc to become available on developments? When we bought the home 6 months ago we had to sign up to their crappy Fibrenest internet service. It works ok but the box is hideous and it’s about £10 a month overpriced. We were told that within a…

MSE broadband tool not converting link properly
Hi, trying to get the Virgin Media Gig1 Broadband only deal through the app, however, every time I click on the link it comes up with the broadband and phone deal and with no money off. Tried the b&p link to see if they had inadvertently been mixed up but alas they have not. Other links working but I wish to use this…

Sky won’t cancel new order
We have just moved home ( 5 doors only). I work from home so asked Sky to move our broadband. We were out of contract so placed a new order. It wasn’t a good deal so I then cancelled and placed an order with Vodafone. Vodafone are saying that they cannot progress the order as Sky is not cancelled. Sky have confirmed to me…

Sky will I get 500mbps???
Currently with Sky thou out of contract, if I renew with them (or anoyone) wanting to go for the full fibre 500mbps. I'm aware that I'd need a Sky and BT visit to upgrade things but BT have not upgraded anything (outside of house) in our area so if I upgrade can BT upgrade specifically me or does the area need to be…

Mid contract price increase confusion
I always thought this was silly as I felt companies could have a reasonable guess as to how many increases there'll be for a given customers contract and then spread that across the contract period so it was one flat monthly fee. One could argue that the CPI + some extra % isn't easy to work out but I'm sure there's smart…

Openreach damage during installation
Hi All, Had fibre broadband installed yesterday. In drilling through an external wall the engineer blew out quite a chunk of a recently rendered wall. It would have been far better if he had drilled from the outside as internal plaster is so much easier to repair, or to have applied less pressure. Anyone had any success…
