Is there a way to test whether my internet drops?
As the title says. I've seen a few online tests for stability but wondered if anyone has used them, what's recommended and what's to be avoided. I have full fibre (150mb/s), so it should be reliable but would like to check and identify any drops for work purposes. Thanks.

Virgin media keeps dropping out but stuck in a contract!
We switched from BT to virgin media about 6 weeks ago. Ever since, broadband has been constantly dropping out when watching streaming services and when on my phone, switching me to mobile data and using all my data! I've contacted virgin media and they give some spiel about how cordless phones can disrupt the signal etc…

Connect Telephone
I signed up Dec 2019 and used it fairly regularly but not that frequently. They took payment every few months by Direct Debit, No probs. Then I tried to make a call, using the usual 0808 1703703 number, but got a recordrd message that my bank had cancelled my direct debit mandate! Went into my bank, they appologised and…

Sky offer reverted to full price months before contract end!
Hey guys I had a Sky broadband offer confirmed in July 2023 for GBP 25 for a period of 18 months. But after a few months (specifically after our house move in Dec 2023), it was automatically reverted back to full price of GBP 43 and this amount was being deducted for the remaining of the contract period until today - the…

BT refusing to give itemised broadband final bill
I left BT Broadband in November because the speed was awful and they refused to compensate me for it. This invoked a penalty for leaving early. Signed up with Sky Broadband who said they would make a contribution of £100 to the £166 early leaver charge. BT's final bill was not itemised and despite three phone calls they…

Sky won't let me use MoneySavingExpert link to save money. Is this fair?
So I tried to sign up for Sky Broadband & TV by using MSE's price comparison checker and picking a deal that offered a £100 voucher. Halfway through the process of signing up the webpage informed me I couldn't go any further online and had to ring them. I rang them and they said "we have found an (Sky) account associated…

Microsoft Support or lack of.
I have spent two days trying to sort out a Microsoft sign in problem. I wasted 14 minutes on the Windows 365 Chat passing all my details before telling me he/she only deals with new sales. He/she then told me to chat on another link to another department. Why he/she didn't tell me at the outset is beyond me. Anyway the…

TalkTalk refusing Ofcom automatic compensation
Hi all, I set out to join BT via OneTouchSwitch process and TalkTalk placed an unsolicited cease notice on my line on 9th December. I had no Wifi the two days before and so when I was told there was fault on the line by TalkTalk I assumed they were being truthful. A TalkTalk engineer came out and couldn’t fix it and so an…

Sky broadband switch - Sky won't accept a uSwitch link to their website !!
I have just spent four days trying to switch my broadband to Sky and it's been an awful experience - I have abandoned it now and will go elsewhere. I found the deal on uSwitch and having followed the link to Sky entered all my information. Each time the Sky website got to the same page and stoped with a 'technical error'…

Does the Switch process apply as normal when moving from copper to full fibre?
As my copper-wire broadband contract with TalkTalk ends on 12th December, last week I called them to give my 30 days notice to cancel, thinking maybe they would then offer me a great deal. Yesterday I called TalkTalk again, and couldn't get a good deal, so I initiated via Vodafone's website a switch to their Full Fibre…

Sky TV & Broadband help
Hi - I have Sky TV & Broadband + sky.com email. As Sky TV is getting expensive, am looking at cancelling Sky TV and / or broadband. If I cancelled one - would it impact on the other OR if I cancelled both, would it affect my email address which is via Yahoo! I believe. As you can see I don't really understand how these…

Am I really not able to change provider?
We are getting to the end of our broadband contract and contacted a new provider. We’re told there’s no capacity in our area so they can’t allow us to switch to them! We’ve tried a couple of others who seem to back this up. Does that mean we’ve no choice but to negotiate a new contract with current supplier or otherwise…

Without going into the details of the situation, in trying to migrate between Business and Home services for broadband and (separately) landline, there have been a litany of errors by different parts of the BT / EE / Openreach behemoth that have caused significant cost and risk to an elderly and vulnerable customer Because…

Open Reach
I am reaching out in desperation regarding a
longstanding issue we've been facing since moving into our new build house in
August. Despite being just 50 metres off the main high street, we have been
unable to secure a broadband connection due to Open Reach's stringent
requirements. To connect our house to the network,…
