Virgin Media First Bill

I've just signed up for Virgin Media broadband and anytime landline calls for £31.99 per month. And I've had an email saying my first bill will be £63! Does anyone know why this would be?
I'm beginning to think I should've stayed wtih BT. They're about £6 per month dearer but at least I wouldn't have to go through the faff of switching PLUS they have a UK call centre if I were to have any issues

Because you likely have to pay in advance. Does the bill not cover the breakdown of charges?0

Set up your online account and check the itemised charges.0

I've had that with them twice, they seem to try and charge extra and hope you don't notice. The last time it happened, they tried to say this was my contracted amount. I had e-signed a contract for £30/month but they deleted it (illegal). I had to fight and write a stern email to the CEO's secretary to get my £30 deal back0

I mean at this point doing this is clearly over-reacting, if the OP hasnt even looked at the bill properly to see the breakdown.ButterCheese said:I've had that with them twice, they seem to try and charge extra and hope you don't notice.
