Should I ditch my Landline Now or Later?
I have been told by my ISP Plusnet Broadband and Phone that they will be moving me to EE. I have 30 Days to decide. If I go with EE then the phone has to be plugged in to the back of the EE hub this would not be very practical since the router is in in the spare room upstairs next my bedroom where I have my PC. Also does…

The Hidden Cost of "Cheap" Full Fibre: Why ISP Routers are Throttling Your FTTP Speeds
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a massive "buyer beware" warning for anyone looking at comparison tools to switch to Full Fibre (FTTP) broadband—specifically with budget providers like Plusnet. I’ve just switched to Plusnet Full Fibre. The Openreach installation went perfectly, and the wired line speed into the wall is…

Is it even possible to haggle against BT's automated pricing?
I read the haggling guide here and am having no luck! My contract expired last week. I'm currently paying £65.99 for 900Mbps. I called last week and was told the best they could do was £43.99, despite offering new customers £38.99! So today I phoned the disconnection number as suggested and the computer says the best they…

Virgin media end of contract
Has anyone been hit with Virgins policy of continuing their service after the end of your contract and charging a full months broadband at full price, whether you want it or not? Is there anyway of avoiding the charge? £69 for a days broadband I never used.

Please help - broadband service with a person at the end of phone
I'm in the process of changing to Sky broadband but it took me an hour of trying to contact someone to resolve an issue with my new contract. The AI bot is the worst I have ever dealt with. When I phoned the number it finally gave me, I was text info that was nothing to do what I wanted. It was only when I finally pressed…

Globlinker 2GB/month data "for life"
Anyone else come across the Globlinker 2GB/month free data portable mobile hotspot device? Looks like for £125ish upfront you get a mobile hotspot that includes 2GB data every month for free for life. Is this a scam? Is this based on the presumption 2GB/data will be close to useless in a few years and they are relying on…

Vodafone Broadband Slow Internet
Hi everyone I just had Vodafone full fibre 150 installed on thursday and since then even though the speed has been as advertised when I run speed tests the internet just seems much slower than my old standard part fibre internet with Plusnet. Broadband automatic compensation scheme – can I claim?
I have been without broadband for 8 days due to the cable being cut by workmen digging up the pavement outside my house. Bizarrely, this work was for ducting for a new fibre broadband company! My broadband contract is with Vodafone and they have been my first point of contact but it was Openreach who have done the fault…

How to switch to Plusnet when their broadband checker is down?
We've had bad experiences with Vodaphone over the last year or two so we're looking to change and the best options appear to be Plusnet or Virgin. We prefer Plusnet but their broadband checker is down. there's a banner saying "We’re fixing our broadband checker. We’ll be back up and running as quick as we can. Browse the…

Are there any non contract wifi companies that provide good wifi?
Hi There, I am hoping to find a short term wifi solution in my flat. I may well sell it within the year so I don't really want to get tied into a 12 month contract but in the meantime do need good wifi. Any suggestions of something that actually works well? Thank you so much in advance.

Onestream broadband warning
Like many people, I lead a busy life and had forgotten my renewal date. When I logged in, I discovered that my payments had doubled after the first year. Since I pay by direct debit, I hadn't noticed the price increase. They lure you in with an attractive initial price, but I never received any communication from them…

Talk Talk Full Fibre upgrade- is it straight forward?
I’ve had several emails from TalkTalk about a free full fibre upgrade and have now received a date for an engineer to come out and do the upgrade. I’m just hesitant and quite worried about it if I’m honest. I’m severely disabled and heavily reliant on my internet connection, gaming is my main thing that keeps me mentally…
