Toob Broadband

Does anyone have any experience with Toob Broadband? I Like the idea of no price hikes during contract and the fast speed advertised.

  • Yes, I've been with them since February 2024 when they rolled out in my area, and would highly recommend them.  Installation was very smooth, up-time excellent as is speed.  Price went up at the end of initial contract (18 months), but that was to be expected.

I was with Toob since 2024 since they rolled in my area as well.

    Downsides:
    1. Share some network, that is not the best if you have pro gamer at home (did not affect me :)
    2. Unable to set up Hosting on my NAS (did effect me, as was unable t create for my kid and his friends Minecraft server, or host my website)
    3. RENEWAL - SUcks every time as loyalty is not appreciated. Went trough comparisons site and signed cheaper than MyAccount→ Renewal option offers. Images below (First is "My account", second - their website.

    Good:
    1. Customer service - well confusing because CityFibre network ( Sorted broken fibre within 16 hours of report)
    2. Speeds - AMAZING
    3. Router - Linksys (mesh capable) 8 stars of 10 in comparing with toob rivals, offering cheap !!!!!! that you need to hide

6 months in to an 18 month contract, no price hikes next April £25 p/m with 2 months free.
Initially took several attempts with customer service getting no where before handed over to the team that know their stuff. Talked me through switching things off on latest router esp IP6 that has cured a lot of the trouble with bad links doing tracerts. Do still suffer with annoying lag and but not as bad as 6 months ago, speeds ok 700 ish Down, Up surge 1000+
Point being you can speak to these try that on any biggy.

I'm confused, are they no price rise contracts or not?

  • Toob changed to increasing their prices by £2/month every April on 21/04/2026 - https://www.toob.co.uk/news/new-speeds-and-contracts/

Maybe the OP had read something about "no price hikes during contract" from a source that pre-dated that.

The original post on this thread is from 2025, which might explain any confusion.
