Isle of Wight ferries
I have searched, but have only been able to find posts from years ago, so apologies if there is already a thread about this. Please does anyone know of any discount codes to use for car travel on the ferry to the Isle of Wight? Thank you in advance.

Moss/algae suddenly springing up on car - any fixes?
Have had my 'new' car for 6 months but, with all the damp conditions lately, I noted today an alarming sprouting of very fine, bright green moss or algae along many of the seals and edges. Is there a reliable way of dealing with this problem? Very grateful for any thoughts.

Dividend payout options
My Mum’s ISA is currently with HL and am considering alternatives after the recent fee changes. It’s fully invested in listed securities (shares, ETFs and ITs) and she enjoys the dividends from those which are automatically paid to her bank account. I wanted to check people’s experience with II and Scottish Widows around…

Help with knowing how much is 'needed' to retire?
Online calculators to me are quite worrying in that it seems to be unless you have a pot of £1million then you're going to struggle in retirement & while some will be fortunate enough to be in that position, I certainly wont. I doubt many of the people I know either will be fortunate enough for that yet they seem to do…

Just realised freehold wasn't transferred!
Hi all, We bought a house 12 years ago. The sellers had 50/50 shared ownership with the housing association. On completion our solicitors arranged for them to purchase the freehold and then transfer it to us. We have documents explaining this was going to happen, but can't locate any final confirmations (House buying isn't…

Custody of will/Trust
Several years ago I made my will. The solicitors gave me a copy and retained the original. If I, or my heirs in the case of my death, ask for the original are they likely to charge for looking after it? I realise they will probably try to persuade my heirs to use them for probate but that’s a different issue. The will…

Brewerygate parking fine
Hi all, I've read through the newbie thread and still wanted some guidance about this. I received a NTK from Brewerygate Limited for a parking contravention on 11/11/2025. The reason for issue is "Overstayed for the type of ticket purchased" as I had bought 2 hours parking, however had returned later than that. I've…

Front door leaking
I need some help. 3 years ago, I had a brand new composite front door fitted and ever since I’ve had it, it’s leaked in at the bottom and soaked my carpet. I’ve had the company out multiple times and they just say it is fine or just change a few screws. I paid on a credit card. Is there anything I can do?
