Looking for an online-only pension
I'm really tired of dealing with my pension company over the phone, as it costs a bomb, takes for ever, has no paper trail and is horribly inefficient (the last thing I did with them took 3 months to sort out, for example). Does anyone know of any online-only providers I can move to? In the genre of Starling/Monzo banks,…

Reading as a cheap hobby
Reading needn't cost anything if you live within walking distance of a library or get a free bus pass. Libraries often put on free activities for children, too. If you're lucky, your local library will be warm and have some cosy armchairs. Some libraries will allow laptops so that students can work on projects and…

Hi all, I received a PCN for “non payment”. I paid and put my registration number in but the card payment was declined and I paid by coin. When I check my credit card statement, Next and Fatface have only refunded some of the items. I've…

Eggshell paint?
I prefer to use Satinwood or Silk paint instead of gloss for interior woodwork. Looking around I am wondering what is the difference between using these paints or using "Eggshell"? Is Eggshell less shiny or not for use as a top coat etc.

Hi, I recently submitted a claim for a leaking shower - a plumber I got round to quote took an area of tiles out and showed that they had been stuck straight on to plasterboard. Adverse possession, house inherited, “squatter” deceased
Father-in-law has died and left his unregistered house to my wife and her brother. When applying for first registration they found there was no plan attached to the conveyance when he bought the house in 1984. The conveyance for the sale to the previous owner, in 1971, used a plan which did not include a small, irregularly…
