ES Water taking the P
So here in Essex, this month we've gone from having two separate bills for water (ES for water in, Anglian for waste) to just one, ES to cover both. That should all seem a fairly standard changeover as it's all metered so we have accurate usage figures, right? Nope. It looks like ES want to almost double customers combined…

Reading a recent MSE letter and seeing the words 'large garden' in relation to getting a charges cut, I sent an email requesting a reduction and including a picture of the size of our garden and a close-up of the 4 rain water barrels that collect some of the water which we then use to water our veg plots and then water any…

Thames Water website used to show water usage but no longer. Why?
I opted for smart metered usage when asked some years ago. The meter was installed in the pavement outside. For the first few years I could see my water usage (by volume) on the Thames Water website but in recent years that has stopped except for periods that aren't long enough to be useful. If they can show it for some…

Query water bill amount
Hi all, can anyone please advise me. My mum lives in Hawkwell in Essex and pays 2 water companies (on one bill). One company Anglian are charging her £442.91 which I believe is for sewage. The other is called Essex and something and is £357.52 per annum. This makes I think £780.43 per annum. She pays £78 a month over 10…

Can a water company say a water meter was read when it wasn’t?
My parents’ water bill showed meter readings that had stayed exactly the same for the last few years (last 5 readings had stayed exactly the same). They don’t take the meter readings themselves as have always relied on the 6 months company readings. Thinking the meter must be broken, I asked for it to be checked. Turns out…

complaints
Ofwat is suposed to represent the public interest regarding water supply. They provide information on how to complain about the water companies. However - there is no means of complaining to Ofwat about THEIR OWN performance. If anyone knows how - please let me know.

Our local cricket club has a water supply with a meter on the road then a run under a private drive of a neighbouring house then a field we don't own of some 100 metres before the pipe enters our property. We have no meter on our property. The treasurer has reported the meter spinning round (based on his readings) although…

High water bills.
Hi, I live in a band A rateable house (lowest band) and pay nearly double water rates than any other house on the same road of the same rateable value, they pay £33 and I pay £63. Where is my water meter?
Hi everyone. I own a flat. The management company recently contacted me to ask where the water meters are for our building. It made me realise that after living here for five years, I don't know!
