Is it possible to get a refund for water bills for being on wrong tarif?

Has anyone managed to get a refund for being in the wrong tarif. Despite living alone and telling them so when I moved I haven’t been on the single occupancy tariff for 4 years. 8s there anyway to recoup this money. I.m with Thames water

It says in their charges scheme that they will only back date it to the date you told them. Its 5.3.51

If you told them when you moved in you should be able to claim it back. I would give it a go anyway. See what happens.1
