RJ45 to Thunderbolt question
Hullo. Can anyone pls advise whether this adaptor will work with a 2021 MBP having thunderbolt 4 ports: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Ethernet-Adpater-Thunderbolt-Nintendo/dp/B07M8GSLQB They only say it is compatible with 2020 MBP and earlier, which is presumably an earlier port

iTunes won't accept my ID or username
I have a laptop running Windows 10 and use iTunes. I have been unable to log into iTunes because Apple says either my ID or username is incorrect. Neither is incorrect. If I want to set up a new ID and username it says it's unable to do that at this time. If I want to get help from the forum I need to sign in but it tells…

Trouble with Samsung Pay, Chase & Curve
Slowly getting my new S24+ set up how my S20 was but having trouble with the thread title. I've activated the other accounts in Samsung Pay but Chase was the one that was missing. I go to add it but it mentions the need for Samsung Pay+ (note the +) which I had on my S20 but it's not on this S24+. I've already signed in to…

What's this cable?
Found on floor of mil's cupboard. She'd recently taken delivery of a second-hand mob scooter, but don't know if it's connected. Cable has a 'DC' style plug at one end as shown, small, around 2.5mm? The other end has a solid moulded block, with 'Tek' embossed on it. What the?! Cheers.

Apple USB to USB C Adapter not working?
I bought a USB to USB C adapter to use along with a SanDisk flash drive in order to back up my photos from my iPhone 15. But the SanDisk app doesn‘t recognise when the adapter in inserted in to the iPhone. The flash disk works fine when inserted directly in to a computer. So that can’t be the issue. I bought an Anker…

Facebook lurking!
Hi - Confession! I've lurked on a particular person's profile out of curiosity on Facebook. I don't use it to communicate socially with people (I'm anti-social :D ), I just use it occasionally to look at other Facebook stuff whereby you need an account to do so. Anyway, I noticed that I had a friend suggestion from this…

Can't work out the forumula for this (SOLVED)
Hi, please can someone tell me the formula for working out how to get every possible combination* of all the following 12 letters? * (They don't need to be swapped within their own section. The order within each section does not matter. So in the LEFT section S does not need to be swapped with i, for example. Only need…

USB adaptor
Hi all I'm fairly certain I'm looking for a unicorn but thought I'd ask on here just in case...... My car has a single USB port for media. I could do with a second port so I can plug in a USB drive (for music) and my phone (for maps, etc) at the same time. I know, for computers, you can get a USB hub to increase the number…

Printers!
My cheap Epson XP 4205 is printing blank. I tried everything. I'm really tired of cheap printers with expensive ink that do not last a year. I'm willing to spend £200 max but not sure whether to go for a laser or a tank? I need cheap running costs. I'm not a huge printer (printerer?) but it goes in phases. Recommendations?

Recycle old software CDs?
Hello everyone, Does anyone know if it's possible to recycle old software CDs? I don't mean music CDs or games - I've been having a clear-out and found a couple of HP 'software and documentation' CDs (I think for an old printer and monitor). I'd really rather not just chuck them in the bin as that's harmful, but sites like…

Advice on recycling old phones/laptops, won't turn on but want to ensure that data can't be restored
Hi, I've a no of old phones (mine and family) which are broken so can't do a factory reset and wary of recycling and potentially someone being able to restore sensitive data. Is there anything I can do about this or ideas on what to do? I know some parts can be recycled/reused. The same applies to old laptops? I also have…

Google's Find My Device - and other trackers
I've been using Samsung's version of these devices (SmartTags) for some time, in luggage, personal bags and one in the car. With the imminent arrival of Google's entry into this market I've ordered myself a credit-card sized tracker (Samsung don't have this form) for use in my wallet - which I now realise is marked "RFID…

Record free streamed programs ?
ITVx, all4, my5 etc may be free but can be unwatchable due to ridiculously long and frequent advert breaks. Is there a way to record them ? Incidentally, I’ve noticed that there are fewer adverts outside peak hours. I wonder how advert slots are allocated, given that no-one knows when and by how many people programs will…
