So my Freeview aerial cable is broken the end seems to have snapped off. It’s been pinned to wall so maybe been like that for years. Do I need to fix it or if I don’t use it just leave it?

Just leave it - easy enough to repair if you ever need it.

If you don't use the aerial then there's no harm in leaving it there.  If you ever come to need it then you can get a new end for very cheap, and look on Youtube how to put it on.  It's quite fiddly but doable

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious but there's no mains power involved in an aerial cable so it won't be danger in any way. I only say this because I knew someone who looked at birds sitting on the TV aerial and wondered why they didn't get an electric shock!

Does he/she also wonder why birds sitting on high voltage wires don't get a shock?
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Depending on what's actually broken you might need to repair it to prevent damage.

Co-ax cable consists of a centre cable and a green around the outside. Between the two is an air gap. If the part that's broken is the part that goes into your property then you should mend it as otherwise rain will run down the air gap and come out of the socket on your wall. (Also some small insects).

Its easy to use amalgamating tape or similar to cover the broken part.

The last time I attended to someone's problem aerial lead I remember when I took the plug off about a cupful of water came gushing out!
