Possibly sold a bogus hard drive. Can anything be done?
Probably more suitable in the consumer rights forum but those that frequent there may not have so much techie knowledge so I'm coming here. Basiically some time at the end of March I bought 2x used hard drives on eBay. Both 4TB, one from theharddriveexperts & one from pro-avit.london. First problem is, as the eBay listing…

Saving in Google Drive
Question? How do you organise your files in Google Drive? The architecture is a bit of a mystery to me. Can anyone recommend a good YouTube video about this or explain at all. At the moment Google Drive just saves for me and I go into recent files. There must be more to it than that.

Weird experience on BT email
I was writing a lengthy e-mail on my i-pad when suddenly AI took over and added words without my control. When I tried to delete the new words I lost most of what I had written. This has never happened before. Any explanations? I then wrote what I wanted to say as a Word Document and sent it as an e-mail attachment, which…

Copy text from header into main text
I'm working on a Word text and I made the mistake of writing some text in the header. I don't need the header, I need to have the text in each header in each page. The header of each page has different text. Cutting and pasting it page by page (nearly 30 already) would take ages. Any advice? I wouldn't mind clearing the…

Data Limit ?
A message on my Android warns me I only have a day's worth of data left, I've used 2.5 GB. However, it's connected to my router (there's a lit sign on the top left of my phone with the name of my internet provider). I rarely take it out of range of the router, and the data limit on my provider says that I've got 2.88 left…

Speed of a NAS?
For accessing files over the network from a NAS, how quick can you access those files on a PC? I have a Western Digital MyCloud Home which is connected to the router as is my PC - both via cat6 cable. Accessing the WD is frustratingly slow. Just skipping between folders on there & opening folders that have 100s of images,…

Edit pdfs
Is there a free or cheap (i.e not paying £5-10 pcm forever) to edit PDFs? The output doesn't have to be in a PDF. The reason is because I often have to read PDFs with coloured text which causes me headaches. Sadly the people who send me PDFs won't provide text in black and white (I have tried) I have tried converting my…

Casting to Chromecast from YouTube broken?
I occasionally cast from my Android phone to a Chromecast plugged into my TV. Casting a live feed from the YouTube app didn't work for me last night (or this morning). The stream just repeats the same ~20 second loop. Other streaming apps (iPlayer, Now) all seem good. All on the same Wifi with good signal strength. Any…
