iPad + AirPrinter
I’m looking for an AirPrinter, all I have is an iPad so I’m told this is the only way/ best way to go. I really only need it for occasional, very occasional, use and was advised to go laser as ink clogs up if not used on a regular basis. Having searched the internet I see some advertised as WiFi enabled, is that the same…

Android mobile version of Outlook acting up
I view Outlook on both my pc and my mobile. My pc is working just fine, same as always. My mobile version is not. What happens on the mobile is that when I open Outlook and it opens at the Inbox the latest email is from February, followed by one from a month earlier, and then others from over a year back. Sometimes it will…

Windows 10 - Has anybody been able to sign up for extended support?
With just over a month remaining I wanted to sign up my (officially) non W11 compliant PC for the additional year of W10 security updates, ideally using 1000 Microsoft Rewards points. As yet I don't get the option appearing in Settings > Update and security. I am running ver. 22H2 fully updated as of 10/09/2025. Googling…

Buying Notebook in October
A couple of months ago I was finding out about Chromebooks, but it looked like what I really needed was a Notebook.I didn't seem to be making progress in finding a particular Notebook, so I decided to wait until expected sales in October.I'm not much of a consumer so don't know details of the October sales - it's called…

VOIP
We are currently with EE for broadband and landline. Due to a sudden change in our circumstances that service will end next week. We are out off timed contract and have not changed to digital voice. We still have very old BB router. We wish to keep our landline number. We do now have a 5g vodaphone gigacube router as we…

recommendations for home printer?
Good Morning, I'm looking for a recommention for a decent home printer. I'm looking for something that offers a decent print on paper and card (up to 250gsm) and isn't going to require ink purchases every 5 minutes! Ideally it could scan and print A3 but i'm aware that this limits the options. i've read loads of 'best of'…

World Cup Calendars - Outlook
Hoping someone can advise - I want to add the fixtures for the world cup to my outlook calendar, however most downloads add these as a seperate calendar - I want them to be shown with my existing appointments. I did think of downloading a calendar, and then "forwarding" on the individual events to myself and then accepting…

Anyone worked out how to make a phone call to a contact using 'ok google, callxxx ' over bluetooth?
Time was when you could use 'ok google' over bluetooth to call a contact but that seems to have disappeared? Friends with iPhone seem to still be able to use Siri to do it - but not google on android. Is there a fix or a way round it using 3rd party apps?

Windows 11 for an ignoramus.
I know absolutely nothing about tech stuff so would kindly request you pitch your replies accordingly. My desktop computer, like me, is elderly (2018) and the Microsoft pop up thingy, tells me it is not compatible with Windows 11 - which I'm led to believe I'll need, to function and stay secure on line in the long term. I…

Car Audio - specifically Bluetooth
Sorry if long message. We have a Renault Captur 2014, the Media Nav system uses Bluetooth 4.0. Our phones use 5.3 but other phones we've had in the past have had the same issue - I don't know what BT version they were. The Bluetooth sometimes connects perfectly, syncs with phone audio, phonebook etc. But 50-60% of the time…

HP Pavilion G6 - screen issue upon start ups
When i start up my old HP Pavilion G6 laptop sometimes i get a screen like the pictures below. Doesn't happen all the time. When it does, turning it off and on again (maybe a few times ) gets it going. What would be the most likely issue? The screen itself or wiring to the screen possibly? There are a couple of blotches on…

It's been suggested that I get myself a Kindle eReader as we have two 'sunshine' holidays coming up.Mrs B has an ancient kindle - the one that gave free 3g connectivity! I suggested that I could get an Android tablet but was told that they weren't very good in sunny conditions. Suggestions?

Ditching OneDrive suggestions for online photo storage (not Google)
I need recommendations please for online photo storage. I currently automatically back up my photos to both Google and OneDrive and to a seperate hard drive. A bit of overkill based on paranoia of losing important photos and frankly laziness. Whilst One Drive is handy for accessing things across devices I'm sure I could…

Best budget 8 inch tablet for around £100 or so.
Hi there folks, Hope everyone is good. I have a few Kindle fire 8 tablets, think its the 22 model, only 2 GB Ram, so waiting on apps and things to open on them is a right pain in the behind. I have reset but after a few days or so same old thing. I have tried a few close all apps software and while it helps I do think I…
