Smart phone for gym
At the moment I use my main phone in the public gym. This involves leaving it lying around whilst I exercise, and there's definitely a risk of theft. That's mitigated by it being a fairly old low end Motorola phone, with practically no value in itself. Nevertheless, it has a banking app on it, plus a keyless entry system…

NHS app viewing notes
We moved to a new area and changed GP surgery. From then, we can no longer see our notes/records in the app. (Prescription ordering is OK) I have spoken to receptionist and her only advice is to uninstall the app. That doesn't help! I travel abroad a lot and it is good to have. Any advice?

Google Chrome blocking apps?
I've had problems opening up an desktop based application for about a week, although after trying several times I eventually get it to open and work. Strangely enough once I get it opened, I can exit and open in without problems; that is until the next morning, then the problem starts again. I've been using this app for…

Doro clamshell phone problem
I only use this as I have a mental blind spot with smartphones. For some reason the write message function has swapped to numbers entry. Google says use the hash key to scroll through the various options but this does not do anything. Is there anything else that I can do?

Where to buy a refurbished laptop or all in one pc
As the above, can anyone recommend where to buy either a laptop or a mini/all in one pc? I slightly prefer all in one pc due to a bigger screen and keyboard further apart. Possibly ex office equipment? Any ideas where to look?

how to find a shaver socket adaptor?
The ever delightful OH has bought himself a new toothbrush. And bizarrely (to me at least) it charges via a usb type plug. Obviously a toothbrush is meant to live in the washroom so will need to be plugged in there. But we've a shaver plug only. how does one find an adaptor that we can plug in a usb charger? I spotted one…

Suspicious Galaxy Tab A11+ purchase?
Looking for a tab that doesn't cost a fortune. Was browsing away & came across a seemingly cheaper than should be Galaxy A11+. Did some more searching & found this being sold a fair bit more elsewhere & wondered why it's so cheap. Then remembered from past experience although it says Samsung store it may not be Samsung…

Mounting a hard drive underneath desk
Not really a hard drive, more an enclosure. This enclosure to be exact. A lot of the time it's just a case of knowing what's on the market to make your job easier. I've found some stuff on Etsy but it was getting on £30 which is a bit silly imo. I want it off the desk really but still handy. I was thinking of some under…

Upgrading 11 from Win Home to Win Pro
Is there anything to stop me from upgrading Windows 11 on my laptop from Home to Professional - using IN PLACE method - rather than a full, format and fresh install ? The reason for this is that I have a Windows 10 Pro key from a previous device and thought that I would give it try - but don't fancy a full install… I don't…

A decent 'emergency' cheap mobile phone - recommendation?
OH needs to send her iPhone off for repair under AppleCare warranty & as it's off to Czech there's a 10 day turnaround. Looking to see what's decent AND CHEAP just to get her by for this timeframe. She bought an iPhone 6S for £35 from some black website (I'm pretty sure it has black in the name. She said she'd heard decent…

New ring door bell
I see theres a new slimmer model out means the holes won't line up for the wall. I heard there's backplates you can buy but can't see any. It says in Google my current one stops working in 2029. But seemingly older models still work without software updates. Anybody else had this issue? Don't really want holes in wall but…

What free Ad blocker do you recommend?
I installed Total Adblock as a Google Extension yesterday, however, it keeps giving me pop ups and pages which open advertising their paid version. I also suspect it causes YouTube videos to halt since they weren't doing that before, although I have another adblocker called Adblock for Youtube.

Replacing 38" Freesat HD TV
I am looking for a TV with a better picture, as my Panasonic Vierra is about 15 years old. I have Freesat and realise that most TV's now are Freely. Although the future of Freesat is in doubt, am I right in saying some people who have changed from Freesat to Freely have not liked the change? Also, is now an iffy time to…
