Data Limit ?
A message on my Android warns me I only have a day's worth of data left, I've used 2.5 GB. However, it's connected to my router (there's a lit sign on the top left of my phone with the name of my internet provider). I rarely take it out of range of the router, and the data limit on my provider says that I've got 2.88 left…

Sadly the camera sensor became scratched. I have fallen out of love with photography due to this as it is spoiling my images. I am going to be getting some…

Speed of a NAS?
For accessing files over the network from a NAS, how quick can you access those files on a PC? I have a Western Digital MyCloud Home which is connected to the router as is my PC - both via cat6 cable. Accessing the WD is frustratingly slow. Just skipping between folders on there & opening folders that have 100s of images,…

Casting to Chromecast from YouTube broken?
I occasionally cast from my Android phone to a Chromecast plugged into my TV. Casting a live feed from the YouTube app didn't work for me last night (or this morning). The stream just repeats the same ~20 second loop. Other streaming apps (iPlayer, Now) all seem good. All on the same Wifi with good signal strength. Any…

Why so much anti-laptop sentiment?
Does any one know what is going on with this "anti-laptop" thing? Go on any train, or any waiting room, and make the slightest keyboard click and people go nuts...they start stamping their feet , or whatever , repeatedly in kind of "revenge noise". I mean, the other day, I was in M&S Cafe near Southampton, and I was on my…

Improving TV aerial reception
I realise our current configuration is probably not optimal, but I'm unsure of how best to proceed in order to improve things. How is my PC not good enough to handle YouTube shorts?
Or Facebook videos for that matter, but normal YT videos are ok. YT Shorts are horrendous for this. I've clicked on one right now to view it but it's a bit jittery. I accidentally scroll down to the next one, realise what I've done & scroll back. Nothing loads. I scroll to the 2nd video again which freezes immediately but…

NHS app viewing notes
We moved to a new area and changed GP surgery. From then, we can no longer see our notes/records in the app. (Prescription ordering is OK) I have spoken to receptionist and her only advice is to uninstall the app. That doesn't help! I travel abroad a lot and it is good to have. Any advice?

Shopify - do I have to use it?
I am ancient, and I tend to be very wary of making payments on the internet. Most times, I'm sufficiently reassured by having to enter my card details (not saved on any site as far as I know) and then do the thing with a code to my mobile phone. But every now and then, I am invited to pay with "SHOP", which I understand to…
