USB Stick issue
Long story short - was using a 16GB stick as a home for a Linux Mint distro whilst trying to revive a (very) old laptop. Didn't achieve my aims with the laptop - I think the HDD is toast. But now the USB stick also appears to be b**********d. The issue is that when I insert in the Windows PC , I get a message "insert a…

Good webcam for use with MS Teams
I need to get a decent but budget webcam to use with MS Teams as my 10 year old laptop's camera doesn't cut it. Can anyone suggest what's good for around the £50 or less mark. I did look at the Anker Powerconf C200 but there's quite a lot of mixed reviews with it's use with teams. I've also seen the Logitech Brio 500 being…

Large backup - suitable way to connect the drive?
I think one of my drives is failing so picked up a 4TB HDD to copy everything across. Opening my PC up, disconnecting drives & connecting up this drive to the motherboard is one option & probably the obvious one. Actually ended up losing a lot of files doing that once. I have one of these and also one of these. And in case…

Samsung to monitor via USB-HDMI cable. Not what expected.
So started up with Zwift last week & for the time being until I get a better setup sorted I was connecting the wife's iPad to a monitor via a USB-C to HDMI cable. It did the job just fine & was responsive. The monitor instantly displayed the iPad screen & there was no lag at all with swiping on the iPad showing up on the…

Linking PC to mobile phone
Under Windows I linked my Android phone to my desktop PC. It actually works well, and I can do things like view my phone messages on the PC. Those messages include all the 2FA ones, which saves me hunting round the house until I track the phone down, but it doesn't seem very secure. It sort of turns 2FA back into 1FA. Any…
