Best tools for managing small business stock and accounts?
I’m looking for affordable, easy-to-use software to manage inventory, invoicing, and accounts for a small business, especially for anyone in retail or selling physical products. Have you tried any tools that really made your workflow easier? I recently came across https://finexcloud.com/ which looks promising for stock and…

Are my calculations wrong?
Maths was never my strong point. If I calculate hire purchase on £30,000 at 5.7% annual interest rate over 5 years I get a total payment of £34,548.50 with £4548.50 being interest. =PMT(C4, D4, -A4) with C4 =.48% D4 = 60 A4 = 30000 which gives a £575.81 monthly payment. I have £30,000 in a savings account earning 3.9% per…

Mapyourfinance Tool?
Hi All - for a long time I’ve seen mapyourfinance.com tools for budgeting etc - their UI is beautiful. It used to be essentially an Excel template, but now looks as if they have their own web experience. Does anyone have any experience of this? How safe is it? Noting that a quick web search does pull up some questions over…

KVM software, virtual machine or something else?
I will shortly be replacing my 8 year old Win10 desktop with a much higher spec Win11 one. I am hoping that some of the antique software I use will still work on the new one, but if it doesn't and I can't find acceptable replacements, then on the face of it I have two options, but please feel free to come up with any…

Recommendations for a 55" TV, circa £400.
In essence, a 55" WiFi (they all are, I know) TV. Factors that would help; an easy-to-use OS as it'll be WiFi operation only. So, Freely and Chrome sound like good options, but open to other suggestions. And, slimness is nice, tho' not a major factor. Circa £400. Thanks

No 'telephone' cable - what would you do for internet?
Hi. Old building, divided into flats, with this one fifth up, near t'top. No existing telephone line. What would you do for decent BB? Enough for general use, Zooming, and movie streaming - say 75Mbps or up. Get fibre in? Or go 'air'? Ta.

Food for thought if you use passwords + 2FA/MFA (and who doesn't :-)
The MFA You Trust Is Lying to You – and Here's How Attackers Exploit It A bit OTT but an interesting read. I fully agree that SMS/text is (or should be) dead -- I avoid organisations which still use that. But I am not convinced that 2FA/MFA is yet on its last leg although it's clearly not a solution for the future. Alas,…
