OneDriveLive
Hi I have being using OpenOffice Writer for ages, but this morning I couldn't open the files. There was no error message.
TG yesterday I saved the file on Google Drive and I managed to work on the OneDriveLive. I have no idea how it works. I see that the file gets saved as I work on it. I've seen I can send it to someone's email via Share.
But can I save it as a file on my computer and access to it in another way?
Might deleting the OpenOffice App I have, downloading it and installing it again work?
No idea of this OneDriveLive
Thanks.

OneDriveLive is nothing to do with Google Drive, its the same concept but run by Microsoft, not Google.
Google Drive is accessible online here, if it is on Drive should be able to download it back again:

The OneDrive equivalent is here:

Thanks, useful to know that OneDriveLive and Google Drive are similar.
I've been working all day on OneDriveLive (a sort of cloud?) where now the old Odt is a Word file
But is it possible to save it and access to it in not online?

Before reinstalling OpenOffice, try restarting the computer, then open OpenOffice Writer from the Start menu rather than by double-clicking a document. Does Writer itself open, and can you open the document using File → Open?
It sounds more like the file associations have become muddled than OpenOffice itself being broken.
Try right-clicking one of the document files, choose Open with, then Choose another app. Select OpenOffice Writer and tick Always use this app to open these files.

Thanks, it worked!
When I save the document it still appears as a Word document but if I click on the name it says odt.
You must be right when you say the file associations have become muddled.
I need to learn a lot…
Thanks everybody
