Worx cordless drill battery failed?

I have a Worx cordless (10mm/20V) drill (not hammer) bought a while back from Argos. Its had quite little use. Model number WX170.1 - battery number worx wa3549.1
A week ago it used it as a powered screwdriver to dismantle a bed frame and all went well until the very end when it appeared the battery was flat.
I used the provided charger and the green charging light flashes for a few minutes and then goes to solid green indicating fully charged.
But when attached to the drill it struggles to work at all and the small light that illuminates the work area just flickers.
I assume the battery has failed?
I doubt it would be worth getting a battery replacement and even if refurbs existed I doubt these would be worth getting either.
Another product for the recycling centre but most likely going straight to landfill.

have you left the battery charging for longer, even though the green light is solid?2

Yes, I left it last week for several hours with the green light solid
I see I can get a Black & Decker cordless from Argos now for £45 which is possibly ok for my light usage but I'd much rather carry on using the Worx one that I thought was well made.
The battery states 20v Max Lithium Ion 1.3Ah 23.4Wh 5INR18/650 -
Was that just a rant? Only you will know if it's worth getting another one....

Not using the drill and leaving it sitting is the worse thing for the battery...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

not charging it much must have been my downfall. I've very rarely had to charge it as it didn't get a lot of use but when it did get used it was magic.0

The battery can get to such a level that the charger is unable to start the charging process again
There is a way of resetting this, I have successfully done this on a Ryobi battery myself so know it can work, but of course your results may vary
Here are some youtube links to the sort of thing I'm talking about

The newer Worx charger can "repair" a fully discharged battery. Also it's worth getting in touch with Worx Customer service. I had a very good experience with them.1
