Leaving O2
Hi guys, has anyone left O2 recently? My contract ends with them on 6th October, but i’ve just read that i’ve to give them 30 days notice to leave. That’s nonsense to me, as my contract clearly finished on 6th October and so certainly dont want to pay them until 6th November!! Of course they dont answer the phone, but i’ve…

How to repair iPhone 4s with scorched charging dock
We think this was a victim of a power surge as there's charring inside the dock and also on the charger itself. It means the phone won't charge or connect to a Mac. Apple won't touch it because it's so old, ditto 'Apple experts' we've called. However, is it as straighforward as buying a new battery and charger and getting…

I got my iPhone 15 today but I don't feel satisfied.
It's no different to my old iPhone 11 Pro which scraped for £63 as it was faulty. I spent £800 on this new iPhone and no difference. Slightly faster and better pictures (shows more of my imperfections) but if my old iPhone charging port didn't start going !!!!!! and not working after 4 years I wouldn't had to purchased a…

Is it an unfair term that a contract has to be cancelled 30 days before the end?
I’ve got a 3 year contact and 3 will only let me notify them no sooner than 30 days before the end of the term. Is that unfair?

Is it time for me to upgrade? I'm still on iPhone 8.
I'm all about Moneysaving and I have held on to my iPhone 8 for years. I like how Apple works. However, it runs out of charge in 4 hours, and twice was very reluctant to charge up when the battery has elapsed. Otherwise it works great. I use it extensively for posting photos and videos on social media, funny enough, at the…

Minor Mobile Contract Dilemma

Lebara mis-selling "monthly" plans?
The Lebara promos recently run through MSE such as the exclusive-monthly-plan-440/p/441223 clearly advertise themselves as monthly plans both in the name "Exclusive Monthly Plan £4.40" and the rate "99p/month for 6 months". Yet once you sign up and get the direct debit, it doesn't deduct on the same day each month, but…

Lebara Voicemail
I've recently moved 2 numbers from Plusnet to Lebara. Someone said when they rang my partners phone it just kept ringing and never went to voicemail, I checked and it was the same on my phone. Although voicemail should activate automatically \i had to do it manually by ringing 1211 then 1. People on Lebara might want to…

What should I expect from EE retentions?
I'm currently paying £9 for 20gb data, unlimited minutes and texts. I've loads of loyalty discount "add-ons" added on, which reduces it to this price, cos apparently its £30ish for the same plane (!) I'm assuming the add-ons won't be ported over to any rention offers I sign up for.

iDMobile Voucher disclaimer!
MSE published a deal for a Sim Card by iDMobile with a nudge factor of a £45 gift voucher if signed up by 2 June 2023. I did that but have yet to receive any information, after repeated requests, until last week and today, sparked by my 3* rating on Trustpilot. Today’s info was to tell me that the voucher obligation and…

Phone and SIM
I have a iPhone SE. I don't use it a lot, mainly to receive text messages from companies (such as the bank telling me I am overdrawn!), and friends, mainly with iPhones. I use 1p mobile on my SIM. Basically is it worth my changing, as the rates of 1p per mb data, 1p min calls, 1p text. Sometimes I make a phone call lasting…

Virgin to O2
Since moving to O2 I’ve not got such a great signal and incoming calls often go straight to voicemail. I’ve still got 12 months to go on the contract. I’ve rebooted iPhone any other setting change I should do to improve reception? Or do I need to just suck it up and move in 12 months? Many thanks

New Mobile Phone Contract seems to be a 'loan'
I've just got off the phone with Vodafone, as wanted to upgrade my phone and get a better deal. the Handler was great and we agreed on a phone and deal. however, as we continued through the process, it started to feel wrong. The Handler kept saying 'loan', a 'loan' for the phone, and 'loan' for the mobile deal. When I hung…
