Best sim only deal with worldwide roaming?

I have been with three since they came to the UK, I have had free roaming worldwide but last month they sent me a text saying its ending and i would have to pay, I was aboard and could not use my phone has they never said i needed to increase my credit limit on the account to use the service this left me extremely unhappy with Three,
I am off to the EU and then USA in Oct, I need the best sim only plan, I currently pay £7.50 for 12gb, unlimited mins and text with 3. I would love to keep my same number and don't mind moving network or company that runs from the main networks.
I am finding it all confusing, Thank you for your help

You arent going to find "free worldwide roaming" with anyone, in fact Three didnt offer this, was just with selected countries.
Your best bet will be with o2, where EU roaming comes as standard (for now), but you would have to add an add on if you go to the United States.1 -
As above, O2 is the way to goEx forum ambassador

As mentioned above, you won't find a sim with 'worldwide roaming'.
While Three have scrapped roaming on their monthly contract plans, they still offer free roaming with their pay as you go packages (which includes the EU and USA).
What you could do is ring Three and ask them to transfer you from pay monthly to pay as you go. You could get 15GB for £10 a month with pay as you go. This is slightly more than you pay now, but then you get slightly more data and free roaming in 71 countries. See the link below.

If you are able to make do with a small of amount of slow data (for email or messaging) then there are providers such as Firsty that offer that (in most countries) in exchange for watching an advert now.and then.

Otherwise, do as someone else suggested and get a donor SIM. For example, you could get a SIM with Vodafone (or any other network), transfer the number to Vodafone, then transfer the number to Three PAYG.

If it is then it is very well hidden on their website, as is a list of their out-of-bundle charges.0
