Strikethrough on Galaxy calendar

I have the calandar that comes as standard with Galaxy phones. The icon is blue and it has a lower case 'a' on it.

I'm trying to work out how to strike through an entry that has been cancelled rather than deleting it.

It's my private phone and nobody else has access to my calendar.

I know that this can be done as I had two items I wanted to delete yesterday.  During an un-coordinated moment I clicked something - I have no idea what - and the entry was struck through. I want to replicate this for another entry but can't.

Does anyone know how to do this?

That’s not the standard calendar app, you’ve got aCalendar by Tapir Apps GmbH 

The Samsung Calendar app icon  is Cyan with a rectangular date page from a calendar (eg 28)

OK, thanks for the clarification. It was tge one that was there on my phone.

Assume that I'm not bothered about whether it's standard or not. I'm interested in how to get it to strike through cancelled appointments.

I've looked up the name you provided, and discover that I can strike through by long pressing the delete icon. I'm recording it here in case anyone else has the same issue.
