Vodaphone overcharging 85yr old after contact ended
Advice on tactics talking to vodaphone. My elderly mother took out a 2yr iPhone contact with vodaphone in 2018 for £30 p.m. She just called to say they increased it to £40 per month. She didn't realise she was still paying. Her usage is minimal as she is mostly at home. I'm sure they would have contacted her at some time,…

O2 Mobile - where to go when even an official complaint is ignored?
Elsewhere, in similar situations, I have found email address for places like 'Director's Office' or similar, and such emails/complaints get dealt with very quickly. Does anyone know of similar for O2? Summary of situation I had to take an 18month SIM contract as part of a broadband deal. I did not need the SIM and never…

Hello, I have an 'excellent' credit score according to Experian (993/999) and I don't think I have every been rejected yet I have tried to apply for a sim only contract via mobiles.co.uk and just got notified that I have been rejected. They highlight they won't be able to elaborate as to why. As I'm keen to change to…

VMO2 Confirm migration from 2G in 2025
Yesterday Virgin Media O2 confirmed that it will switch of 3G in 2025 and will begin migrating customers away from 2G. It will leave a reduced 2G service in place for some years for emergency use and smart meters/devices. About 1% of O2 customers use 2G. Some of these will just need a new SIM but others will need a new…

Best Website for Selling Used iPhones?
Hi there, I have a whole collection of old iphones from my partner and I that I have been holding onto for one reason or another. However when I last upgraded, the sales rep suggested I sell the old phones online. I just wanted to check if there are any with particularly good reputations or, equally, any to avoid?! Thanks…

Porting away from Asda
I'm helping someone who's blind with porting his number. He was unable to forward the text and we couldn't quite hear when his phone read it out. I think the PAC is ASN******. Anyone who's ported recently, please tell me if this sounds correct.

More trouble with Lebara (or more probably Vodafone)
We have a Lebara SIM and till end of June or so this worked... coverage wasn't great but we normally got through (this is calls only). Since about two weeks though we can't get service. Very occasionally, when upstairs near a window, we do get a connection, but this breaks off quickly. Outdoors, either side of the house,…

Any mobile data offers which are better price than £5 per 5GB buuut on pay as you go?
I guess for contracts there are other offers but for now I want to buy data on a pay as you go basis as I am not using the mobile all the time, only on occasion. Have had a bad time with rwgmobile even though they offer the best price that I have found so far. Constant service issues and non existent support to resolve the…

Rwgmobile are appalling, recommendations for sporadic payg but mostly for mobile data?
Looking at the trustpilot score for them it seems others are finding the same. I got one or two replies from rwgmobile now they seem to have dried up completely on the customer service front. I wanted a refund for an error I made on checkout where I put in the wrong number by one digit. I have been trying for over a month…

Asda mobile
Recently sent a bulk text to some volunteers within my church group. Not long after I received a message to say I had exceeded the number of daily text messages. Fair enough, didn’t realise that was a thing. However I have received a text telling me my number will be disconnected due to breaching Asda mobile T&C’s. And to…

Moving to android when have ipad/apple tags/apple watch etc
My iphone 13 mini is starting to play up and I really don't want to pay silly apple prices for a new phone. I can get a decent pixel for much less money - but currently as well as phone have an apple watch (which I know will go dumb without an iphone) many of mine and kids possessions tracked with apple air tags. How much…

EE Faulty Handset Problems
I bought a new Samsung handset as part of a contract through EE online about 6 weeks ago and it has developed a screen fault (manufacturing fault, not accidental damage), however, on contacting EE both over the phone and instore, they have not been willing to offer me a replacement handset in a way that also allows me to…

There must be SOMEONE better than 02!
I have been a customer of O2 for well over 20 years and just cannot believe the depths to which it has sunk recently. I have (had) for telephone numbers with them for four varying reasons. Recently upgraded to iPhone 15 pro plus and decided that dual sims would be the way to go. It will be too lengthy to go into detail…

Problem getting sim replaced
People I call say they can't hear me clearly. Samsung said: clean the sim. Did that, still the same. Samsung said: replace the sim. But Smarty say they'll suspend the service when I order a replacement, and restore it when I get the new sim and register it, whatever. The suspension is highly inconvenient. Any thoughts?

£1500 mobile bill with o2
Back in December 2023, a relative's mobile bill went from £20 to £1520. After investigation with o2, it appeared that two four-hour phone calls were made to Sri Lanka within one minute of each other around midnight. No one could explain how this could possibly have happened, then the owner of the phone started to get calls…
