e-sim for AbuDhabi
I am new to e-sims and find the whole thing rather daunting (but I am sure it is easy). Does anyone any experience? It is needed for longer periods of time, so a paid plan is fine, as long as it works, allows to get in touch the UK and to stream (is there Netflix or similar in Abu Dhabi?)

Factory reset and new sim problem
I have a Redmi Note 11 mobile. Im giving it to someone so have done a full factory reset erasing all data and then put a new sim card in. Turned it back on and it has gone through all the usual starting up till I get a message 'Couldnt sign in' and it goes no further. At no point in the process has it asked for any details…

Is it worth a sim and phone package?
Can I either save money on an £1100 iPhone 16 512gb – or a £13 sim only deal – by combining them onto a single contract? Here’s the context – I have an EE sim only deal today which for £13 gives me 25gb, 5G, and unlimited calls and texts. I bought an iPhone 14 512gb outright when they first came out. I now want an iPhone…

Number not porting to three network?
My port from lebara to three hasn’t gone through, so the next day so I contacted three in the evening to be told there's no record of a port request and they'd request the port again only to say there was an issue doing so and will look into this? Anyone had a similar issue that you got sorted and how? Should I contact…

Ending contract, fees, how do I argue back? (Three mobile)
Hi I have 3 months left of my contract with Three. I want to end it. The contract is only for calls so nothing for the device. Breaking the contract incurs a fee and I have an estimate of the amount which is high but I understand why. I am leaving because I cannot get local reception as Three have stopped the local 3G…

Are Virtual Mobile phone Networks 'second-class citizens?'
It has been suggested to me that anyone buying Sim-only deals from any of the various virtual phone networks are actually given a second-class service by the network and therefore they will have lower performance and reliability than customers directly with EE, O2, Vodafone or Three. Is this actually true? I note that in…

Recommend an Android for my needs
The various links don't seem to cover my main requirement, which is I want a SMALL smartphone that I can get in my pocket. They get bigger and bigger every year and I don't want a mini-tablet. I use it for the general things, calls, social media, taking pics and videos. I rarely stream content as I use my laptop for that.…

Mobile recycling - any that are not a complete con?
My mobile is pretty much in excellent condition. Two companies I've had this with now. Exactly the same..... 1. Offer a high price and you send phone off. 2. Come back with a 50% offer saying there are large scratches on screen. 3. I refuse and they offer £10 more. 4. I refuse again and they offer another £10. 5. I refuse…

Reclaiming money from three
I recently noticed a direct debit to "H3G" being paid from my account. I realised it was to 3 mobile who I used to have an account with. I've no idea why I didn't notice it before. I think I thought it was for something else. Three have admitted that my account was cancelled in June 2019. The payments coming from my…

Exiting mobile phone contracts when they raise the costs?
Having just renewed my home broadband contract (with Sky), I was informed that I can exit the contract "mid term" if I am unhappy with the monthly cost increase which occurs around March/April each yet. I was told by Sky, that I had a period of 30days from the point of being officially notified of the new price increase to…

Looking to buy a refurbished phone and on Amazon, there's plenty but I can't see anywhere where it states what condition the renewed phone is in, it simply says 'Renewed' for each phone I've looked at though according to Amazon there are different conditions (see below) but how do I know if a renewed phone is premium,…

Need More Data on O2 Without Breaking the Bank – Any Tips?
Hi everyone, I'm currently on a SIM-only plan with 15 GB of data per month, paying £8. My contract runs until June 2025, but I’m finding 15 GB isn’t quite enough for me anymore. I checked with O2, and they’re offering a data increase, but the cost jumps to £30 a month, which I’d rather avoid! Has anyone managed to get more…

LycaMobile Users: Had card fraud/attempted card fraud recently?
I signed up for a LycaMobile plan in March 2024, I used a virtual card created exclusively for LycaMobile and even named it Lyca, cancelling it after my purchase. While travelling this week, Monzo alerted me that a company, Hamilton Hardly Publish, had performed an active card check on the card. Followed the next morning…
