Block Charge to Mobile?

Saw the latest scare on Rip of Britain> Charge to Mobile & if your mobile is stolen thief could rack up charges to your mobile phone account. They said one can block this feature but did not say how to do that(?)

I have a limit on my account. I hope this would limit my risk to £20

Can only speak for Vodafone PAYM, CtM is one of many things that can be blocked by signing onto your online account. Hopefully your supplier has similar. 

Just make sure that your phone account is secured as well as you can make it, 2FA that isn't a text or call to your mobile number is good if you can set it up.

I am on 1p Mobile and you can block premium rate calls and texts in the SIM and network settings on their web page. I guess it includes those expensive horse racing tips, jokes, and similar incoming texts.

Additionally, the 1p Mobile 2 factor authentication requires me to enter a number sent to my email, before I can access my account, so it cannot be easily changed.

That's useful, most operators (should) offer similar restrictions.

Charge to Mobile is (AFAIK) only available on accounts from the 4 primary operators.
