Should I accept this sim only upgrade from EE
Currently on a 12 month sim only contract with EE. I pay £12 a month and get 60gb of data. I'm using the messaging service to speak to the upgrade team and the best they can offer me is £9 a month for 30gb. My average usage for the last 3 months is around 18gb so 30gb is probably fine. They are offering me an 18 month contract this time. I am aware that I can get better elsewhere in terms of data, however I have been with EE for 9 years and would prefer to stay with them. Is there anything I can do to push for a better offer or should i just take what they are offering

It depends what you need. If you need included roaming or faster speeds/network priority then it might be worth paying more for an all rounder tariff. But if you just need calls and handset data then that is not a bad price.0

They need to believe that you are fully prepared to leave EE for a cheaper alternative - have you obtained your PAC..? The retention (not upgrade) team would then call you. It may well be the best price they can do for 30GB, you could ask for inclusive EU roaming.

If you need/want EU roaming be aware that recent EE contracts do not include it as standard. You can use the same network on a 30 day SIM only basis with 1p Mobile, Slightly more than you have been offered, but less than you currently pay... And it's not the same as a contract, with 1p you can change the amount of data each month if you need to.

I assume unlimited talk and text.
What price increase is there at the annual review in the middle of the contract?
You like EE and know their service coverage suits you well.
You could try a virtual operator that uses EE. I just checked one (LYCA) and it was not cheaper but you get more data which is no benefit if you don't use the data.
FWIW, it may be just simpler to stick with the EE and avoid any risk of losing number in transfer etc.

But agree with the comments about 1p mobile0
