Cancel Three Mobile Contract Outside of Cooling Off Period Due to Poor Service

I recently contracted to Three purely because their coverage map showed strong 4 and 5G solidly, and nationally.

This is a complete fabrication - my service is shockingly  intermittent, (I have one bar in my town that drifts in and out (it says on their map solid 4G)  and I even end up with 3G in many areas and on the train its non existent

Add this to the fact that iPhone visual voicemail doesn't work on Three (I believe its the only network not to have it) - This is essential for work for me as I transcribe voicemails - I didn't even ask when signing as I assumed it was a standard feature

There must be a way to terminate a contract due to poor service surely ... any responses greatly appreciated before I even try ringing them again and wasting another 40 minutes of my time

Regards Nik

So does your employer provide a phone for you for this?

I did this a few years ago with Virgin - had to write an email to the CEO as the usual customer services just read from a script, but in the end they allowed me to terminate the contract and move to another provider
  • It will be a fight and don't do anything silly like cancel direct debits in anger as that will only lead to a trashed credit file.

Not convinced phoning them is the best option (I never do with complaints) and see that they have an online complaints form.

Your 3rd para is irrelevant and down to you not doing your research - stick to the facts.
