Shiply courier item not delivered
Hi, am new here and looking for some advice as I'm feeling a bit desperate. I won an eBay auction for a Victorian door (for £250) and used Shiply to find a courier. I've used Shiply before and not had a problem so didn't hesitate to book a company called Easy couriers/EJP couriers who have generally excellent reviews, and…

Didn’t know this about best offers
Someone made me a ‘best offer’ for one of my items. Whilst I was considering it, the same person then bid my starting price (which was lower than the offer) and that automatically cancelled their offer. Must admit i didn’t think you could effectively withdraw your offer by bidding lower, though the offer was binding.

Parcelforce Customs!!
Hi everyone, I'm new here but I just had a question regarding Parcelforce customs. I have what parcel force class as a high value item (over £900) that has been in customs since the 23 November 2023. I contacted Parcelforce last week to ask about where it was, and they told me to email pfw-ccb@parcelforce.co.uk and ask…

Restricted item, kept by eBay
Hi . After contacting eBay to ask why an item I'd sold was not going to be delivered I've been sent the following message. They've given me no explanation as to why a new, unused motorbike carburettor is a restricted item! The message says that the buyer will have his money refunded. However eBay will NOT return the item…

Help with FedEx tracking
I've been sent a tracking number from a company I have ordered goods from. They've sent me a link to this parcel. Is the Taynuilt, GB address at the bottom the delivery address for the parcel? If so, it's not mine. If this is my parcel it's going a very odd route to me in East Anglia!

absolute proof ebay reps don't understand ebay
I have had several messages from a potential buyer, red flag type questions. Not paying attention I accidentally counter offered an offer from them - and then got more and more questions- asking for extra photos, asking whether marks are a cameral flash or damage- all on a sub £10 vintage item. (I have a full description…

AI descriptions on ebay
Has anyone tried the new AI generated descriptions when selling? I have been waiting for an opportunity to give it a go and was quite impressed. The information is mainly taken from the item specifics and possibly similar listing. They can be a bit 'wordy' but you have the opportunity to edit before listing. At least…

eBay postage delivery confirmation
Not something I do regularly but once in a while I sell a low cost item and I'm sure for some time I've been sending using standard 2nd class postage purchased through eBay and in eBay a delivery confirmation gets recorded (obviously no tracking) Either I'm dreaming or this has stopped working recently?

Paypal sided with scammer!? Left me negative!
Hi, absolutely atrocious behaviour from Paypal. background story, I sold a mobile phone via Facebook (fella paid on PayPal as goods and services), he was happy when he received the phone etc. 1 months into the transaction (1 day before his 30 day guarantee through PayPal), he filed a ‘unauthorised payment’ claim. I…

Theft of eBay parcel from front porch
Ordered a vintage cook book from eBay. Courier dumped it in the porch, instead of putting it through the letterbox. Someone nicked it, despite the CCTV clearly visible and signposted. In future, I won't buy from eBay unless being sent by Royal Mail.

How do I reach Amazon Complaints
I want to put in a complaint to Amazon UK as I can’t get a satisfactory resolution via their chat option. Their complaints@amazon.co.uk is not receiving emails. I have had a wrong item delivered 3 times this week. On one occasion, their assistant issued me with a £5 credit to cover postage when I re-ordered. When the wrong…

Time to report non-receipt of item
I’ve bought a fairly expensive item from a retailer. Currently they haven’t even marked it as despatched more than a week after purchase. Hopefully won’t be necessary, but I see I have 30 days from expected delivery date to claim item not delivered. I can’t actually see the estimated delivery date, is this because they…

Sell CDs on Ebay?
A relative, who collected CDs, there are at least 500 CDs, has died and his widow has asked me if I can sell them on Ebay for her because I have an Ebay account but I only use it to buy stuff. I have never sold anything on Ebay. Is it even worth while trying to sell them on Ebay as I thought all music is digital files…

Help to figure out estimate total cost of this item sent from the states.
Order price of the item is $110. I am not able to work out the postage price because they do not show it at checkout until after paying it seems. Going for memory though from a few years ago, as I have been looking at this for a long time on and off, it was maybe $50 so lets use that. How might I expect to pay total to get…

How to safely receive money selling on Facebook?
I'm selling something on Facebook that's for collection. Someone has messaged asking if they could pay by bank transfer now and collect tomorrow. They don't want to bring cash. Is there any way this could be a scam? Something about it feels dodgy.

Are (barcoded) Large 1st and Large 2nd class stamps any use?
I have a significant number of barcoded 1st and 2nd class large letter stamps which I've 'effectively' bought at historic prices . The idea was these could be an inflation proof method of sending parcels. However, Royal Mail charge far more to send a parcel using these stamps than buy the postage via the internet, so the…

Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 - are they delivered faster than 1st/2nd class?
So after all that has gone on in recent weeks/months/years, Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class mail is effectively broken where I live. I don't expect to receive anything within a week of it being sent to me, closer to two weeks seems typical. Are the Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 "courier" services any faster? Different staff, or a…
