Are people using AI to write eBay feedback now?
Not that many people bother to leave feedback these days, so I was surprised to receive a full paragraph of flowery, meaningless nonsense in respect of a recent transaction. It's the very same standard of gibberish generated by the eBay AI listing tool, so it wasn't much of a leap to arrive at this conclusion... anyone…

Is Royal Mail trustworthy anymore, for eBay deliveries?
I regularly buy/sell on eBay and have done so since 2005. I have noticed a substantial change in delivery service, when trading in breakable items, in the last month. Each time I purchase crockery or breakable home-ware, the seller has carefully packaged the item in a sturdy box and made substantial efforts to protect the…

Is it worth promoting an ebay item?
I'm selling a decent watch, ends tomorrow. It's not had a lot of traction, is it worth promoting it (never used this option before)? If so any tips?

eBay Requiring National Insurance Number
eBay are requesting my National Insurance number for forwarding tax information to HRMC. I'm worried about sharing this information as I don't know how secure their site it. Does anyone know if it's safe to give them this or if it's necessary? Surely HRMC will be able to know who people are with the information eBay…

Australian company combining 2 separate orders which takes me over customs threshold, options?
I recently placed two orders with an Australian company, i was mindful to keep both orders below £135 so as not to have to pay £56+ to receive the items after a customs charge. The orders were placed a couple of days apart. Even though they have not shipped i have been told i cannot edit the order as they have gone to the…

Watch out for the eBay COURIER scam
Watch out for the eBay COURIER scam COURIER is a method of delivery that is calculated AFTER the sale and wide open to scamming. I won an auction item for a fair price. The scammer was not happy that I'd won it for such a low price so he added the courier charge, after the sale, of a whooping £500. Scammer claimed it was a…

Listing on Ebay, lower price or free post
I'm currently listing a load of stuff on ebay but have been trying to decide if it better to list an item with free postage for say £25 or list the item for £20 with £5 postage. Which would seem like the better deal to the buyer. To me free postage seems like a better deal?

eBay Refunded Buyer; Buyer Didn't Return Item.
Hi MSErs, I recently sold a MacBook on eBay. The buyer paid right away, but I shipped the item a bit later than the listing indicated. The buyer never mentioned it was urgent, but apparently, he’d bought it for his wife, who needed it for her trip to Spain. Then, I got hit with an "Item Not As Described" dispute from…

Vinted Question
Not sure if this is the correct board, but seems good enough. I know Vinted is aimed at selling 2nd hand stuff, but I've been selling a lot of new stuff on there recently. I can't find an answer to this on their website, but has anyone had any comebacks from Vinted on just selling new stuff? Any warnings they need to sell…

Buyer claims they received the parcel, but content is missing
It was over 8 years ago when I received an empty box after buying something on eBay. Today my buyer says that they have a received the parcel, but it was filled with pasta, rather than the item I sent. The postage was Royal Mail 48, purchased via eBay. Tracking shows as delivered. The photo on RM website gives little…

Royal Mail Online Business Account not available.
Is anyone else having a problem signing up for this? I have tried several times in the past week to sign up for this and keep receiving the message they are experiencing technical issues, it really doesn't inspire me with confidence that a technical problem takes at least a week to fix, I am assuming they aren't too…

eBay Selling & Posting Costs
Can anyone tell me if it is more expensive to use eBay's postage service? I am selling a lot of stuff and they always ask me to download postage to track my items, which means they provide the label. I can't believe it is the same price or cheaper to do this than to take to the post office. Does anyone know ? I am using…

Vinted and integrated RM postage - a general observation
One of the main complaints I have had, along with many others on Vinted was the issue about using Royal Mail as an option. Unlike ebay (although the new model they have mentioned will follow the Vinted model) Vinted send a pre paid label or QR code after a sale, and as soon as that label tracking shows item is delivered…

My husband only looks on ebay now and again. A notice came up saying that his…

Amazon Problems!
Hello, I hope somebody can help me. I bought a phone from Amazon on the 18th July 2024 which I initiated a refund for on the 21st July. I took the phone (which was still sealed) to my local Post Office on the 23rd July where they scanned the QR Code Amazon had given me and this shows as being delivered by Royal Mail on…

Sellers now able to change estimated delivery date after purchase
Not sure if this is a new thing or if I’ve just never had it happen before. Purchased an item on 20th Oct with an estimated delivery date of 1st-2nd Nov, a couple of days after I purchased the estimated delivery date changed to 2-3rd Dec which I wasn’t happy with, and wouldn’t have purchased if that had been the date shown…
