Responsiblity of a lost return

Hi all! I have purchased a few trading cards worth £400 but when the cards turned up, upon close inspection, they were actually fake. I explained to seller and showed them proof and they were happy enough to take them back. I opened a return, seller provided label through eBay and next day I had the item collected with Royal Mail.
It's been 8 days now and the item tracking hasn't updated since collection. Luckily for me, at least tracking shows as collected. But I now wonder where do I stand if item gets lost. Because the return label provided to me was a Tracked 48 which only covers up to £150 and not the original price I paid. I would assume it was seller's responsiblity to provide correct label (Special Delivery) and cover the whole cost of the item. I am just worried that eBay might side with the seller since the item doesn't show as returned.
Anything I can do at the moment to be cautious with this?

Well if they were fake then they are not worth £400 so perhaps the seller knew this and knows that if he does need to claim is only for a couple of quid....

I'm not concerned about the seller having to claim, I am concerned about myself getting the money back.

What kind of return did you open?
If you have a receipt that you returned the items ebay should refund you.

It was an "Item Not as Described" case. It does show as collected on eBay tracking within the case details, but that's the last update.
