Vinted opening more categories for selling

Vinted are notorious for not making announcements, most of their changes are found accidentally, although occasionally they do send out messages via your message page.

They have always had limited categories against which private sellers can list, if there isn't a category then items can't be sold (and yes I am aware of the many sellers who get round this by listing things n the wrong category - but they do risk their accounts).

Recently more and more categories are being opened , some are announced, some just appear - and at this rate of expansion i believe from a private seller point of view they may start causing some worries within ebay UK board members or shareholders.I am getting to the stage where on a private basis I am now selling considerably more on Vinted than on ebay on a regular basis- and that's even with some of my ebay items not being able to be listed on Vinted. Admittedly I am running down my business sales considerably, but today and yesterday I sold more in total on Vinted than on my ebay business and private accounts combined. 

I still hope that Vinted might look to go out to a proper business selling side - but to do that they would need to make big changes to their buyer t and Cs as at the moment they wouldn't be compliant in any way to UK laws. if they do find a way of offering business selling then I think they may worry ebay - but only on the lower 'small trader' type mini businesses. I don't think Vinted in the near future would be able to make any inroads into larger businesses.

I have been online selling for decades , this is the first time I can truly see a viable challenge to the ebay selling platform from a private seller point of view.
