So I listed an item and the only option for postage was simple delivery.
I put the size in and selected 'seller pays' at £2.94.
Both carrier options are enabled my end.
Item sold, ebay have sent me an evri label and charged me £3.38.
What's going on here then?

For future reference, eBay will defaut to simple delivery, but on the auction listing page there is a link to select "advanced delivery options" (sometimes called "custom postage") which will then let you choose your service and pricing just like the good old days!
You do have to look for it though, and sometimes I have to click it twice before it fully registers, it seems like eBay really want you to use their wonderful new service.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Some but not all people can over ride SD on some but not necessarily all of their eligible parcels.it seems to switch day on day.
I switched nearly all of my parcels to SD purely as it’s cheaper for my buyers and a lot simpler for me, plus I like the protection I get. If it goes to plan , which knowing eBay is unlikely, then goi g forward we won’t have the choice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
